Of the 3 medieval Durbar Squares I visited (Patan, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur), I was most impressed by Patan's. Maybe because it was so easily accessible to my lodging (I was able to walk there twice), and the smallest of the three; or very possibly due to its being my introduction to the stunning architecture of the Newar culture and the history of Hinduism & Buddhism in Nepal.
