Apartment right in the heart of CBD Auckland, close to ferry’s, recommend taking a trip to Devonport also nice ferry trip to other locations eg. Waiheke Island. Trains also run from 10 minute walk to Britomart. Link buses also outside the main door, for a very small cost you can stay on and do a round trip. Supermarkets close by. Walking around the Viaduct which is located down town, lovely restaurants and a water park for young children to play in and around. Will need to ask directions. But you can walk out front door into Queen Street down to wharf area and turn left and keep walking along the water front. Over a bridge and keep walking straight and you will come to the children’s park.
Auckland is a beautiful city with lots to see and do. I particularly loved the harbour and islands - a ferry trip to Waiheke Island was a highlight, with gorgeous wineries, beaches and (expensive!) shops. You can get a "hop on and off" bus to tailor your island trip: recommended. (Tip: Don't wear sunglasses swimming at Onetangi Bay. A wave knocked mine off and I lost them!) Auckland Museum is terrific. I'm not normally a 'museum' person but it has an amazing collection of Maori artifacts and history of Aoteoroa, Maori cultural performance and much more which I didn't have time to see. Just make sure you leave enough time to walk there! Brochures say 20 minutes but it takes closer to an hour as it is mostly uphill from the city centre. Trains and buses also go nearby (Grafton train station; number 70 bus and others). Auckland buses are frequent, reliable and easy to use. The people are friendly and the weather was hot during my stay in February. (NB Feb is peak tourist season and so the city was quite crowded.)
WE were their for a conference so really only had the Sunday to wander through the city. But what we managed to do was lovely, perfect breakfast down on the harbour, some great shopping in the boutiques in the city and very friendly people.
Auckland is an awful city, obsessed with property prices and choked full of cars going nowhere. I really, totally, sincerely hope I never ever have to go there again. Why would you? It is just another mid-level Asian city of no great distinction, hot, sweaty, uncomfortable, with poor public transport and bad design everywhere. Trains and buses go to and from odd places, but nowhere you actually want to go to. Taxis are getting to be non-existent late at night, as the locals now resort to Uber, Onzo bikes, or Lime Scooters. The harbour could be nice, but it is cut off by the Port and polluted at many of the local bays. Really - I wish that another volcano would come along and wipe this abortion off the map.
Auckland is a beautiful city with so many beautiful sites to see & so much to do. The harbour is magnificent as is the nearby area of Manly. Everywhere has beautiful water & gardens & such friendly people. The Botanical grdns, the Opera house, the bridge, the Rocks district as well as all the surrounding areas such as Bondi & ot's walking trails. What a perfect city to visit on your trip to Australia.
I did enjoyed my fantastic trip in waheke island. Internaitonal food courts are great big selection of menus. Walking-in distance to everything and very handy in supermarket, sky tower, spark arena, viaduct harbour and etc.. They have auckalnd city councils heaps of activities for the public and I really had a good time.

The rental house is excellent. Even though it is not near the Central Business District, it is near a local shopping community and Auckland airport. The host is super friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast is beyond expectation. We stayed in double room with private bathroom and the facilities were very nice and cosy. The bed is super comfortable. We also like the lovely garden around the house. If we go to Auckland, we will definitely think of this property. Highly recommended to couple and family.

The kind and helpful hostess. I did not realize when I booked that I was booking a room in someone’s home in a residential neighbourhood and was surprised when I got there. However, the Hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and served us well for our needs. Considering how expensive hotel rooms at in Auckland, this was a steal. Also it was a 5min walk to the nearest metro station and so getting into and from City Center was a snap.

Close to the airport and Villa Maria Estate, Sudima Auckland Airport is a very well appointed, comfortable hotel. It is not a budget hotel, but not at the top end either. The restaurant does good meals and the buffet breakfast is fine as well. Rooms are moderate size and comfortable, though not super well lit if you need to do work. WiFi is free, though not the fastest, and you are likely to get cut off a midnight the morning you check out.

Ibis budget is very close to the Auckland domestic and international airports, there is a bus that collects and drops you at the hotel from the airport also for around $5. Restaurant below accomodation and a few cafes. The bedroom is clean with modern facilities. The front counter was very helpful and accommodating, able to look after your luggage after checkout as well as advise of local eateries in the area .

Agreed with reviewers that said the rooms look pretty dated. We booked the two bedrooms apt but was upgraded to the premier. The room was really spacious for all 5 of us. Bigger than some of my friends inner city apartments in Auckland itself. Location was pretty central (uphill walk from Queens St) Parking (35nzd) was good compared to some other Auckland City Hotel. Overall we had a good stay

We can’t thank you Heather and Roy enough for their great hospitality during our stay in Nov 2018. Their house is so clean and tidy with lovely design. You basically have everything you need and can’t ask for more. There are lots of choices for food nearby, it’s a perfect location to stay in Auckland if you want to get away from the busy city centre. Highly recommend!

Brilliant location to hop on/off the airport bus. Easy to walk down into the city centre without a map. Right near Myers Park which is a hidden gem to walk through into the city. Really friendly staff and thanks so much for the great room with fantastic views and being able to accept us in much earlier than you could have after our long & tiring flight.

Very centrally located for the CBD and 5 metres from an airport SKYBUS stop. Budget accomodation done well, clean and well equipped room. Also unlike other hotels at this price, the room had a kettle with hot drink options and bathroom products. 2 bottles of water left in the fridge each day too, which was a nice touch. A really comfortable 4 night stay!

Only there 1 night but I had no problems at all, unit was spacious, clean, good shower and facilities, bed was very comfortable, plenty of parking area, airport shuttle was excellent both to and from. Nice and close to the Auckland airport. Reception personal was very helpful and courteous as was the shuttle driver. Recommend it to everyone. AAA+++

We stayed there for three nights in summer. It's brand new and centrally located. The room was spatious and clean. The staff very friendly (they gave us free late check out). More than recommended when staying in Auckland. The bus stop for the Airport bus leaves directly in front of the hotel.

The location is great as we were only spending one night in Auckland, the airport is very close and there is a bus stop right in the corner, by public transport it took us around 40 minutes to get to the city centre, the place is clean, it has the basic facilities for one night.

Close to the westfields and not far from the airport. The huge windows we had made the place seem like it was so claustrophobic. Parking fee was pretty cheap. Reception was very helpful. Very secure you needed to have a swipe to get up the elevator to the apartments.

Right in the heart of the CBD. Great waterfront location and close to all the Viaduct restaurants and bars. My favourite hotel in Auckland. Nice balcony rooms overlooking Auckland harbour.
