So much to do in Auckland - we love Devonport via Ferry, Parnell galleries / restaurants and Newmarket for shopping. Ponsonby great too. Great supper at Gerome in Parnell. I love Auckland city because you’re so close to water, downtown waterfront and fashion. You can catch a bus to Mission Bay, be amongst the walkers & joggers, fruit ice cream and awesome sea views. You’re a short walk away to catch a ferry to Waiheke Island - love the gorgeous beaches everywhere, relaxed vibe, restaurants, art and vineyards. The main attraction in town is Sky Tower which was close to where I stayed. Many other attractions involved getting on the water and exploring close by islands but make sure you bring your money with you because the ferries don’t come cheap.
