Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park is located 2297 feet from Hot Water Beach, a popular surfing destination on the stunning Coromandel Peninsula. It was in a great location, had a little shop onsite for essentials as the closest supermarket was 30min away. They had a little takeaway shop onsite as well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
This beach side property is within a minutes' walk from the world renowned Hot Water Beach, where guests can dig their own natural hot springs. This cozy bungalow offers free private parking. Amazing location!! Just across the street from Hot Water Beach with shovels provided! Winter time so restaurants were closed but the porch was great and you can see the beach from the couch!!!
We only were able to stay at hot water beach for about an hour, which was not enough time in my eyes. We had to get to our next location, but the time we did spend there was Great! We went later in the day (around 4pm) which was nice because it didn't seem to be as crowded as we heard it could be! We actually got to just walk right up to the large crowd and sit in an pre-dug hole! A fun experience for sure, we met some great people in the short amount of time that we were there too! Just be careful because some spots that you dig are scalding hot - so test a few places first to get a good temperature hole!
Loved the location and accommodations. We arrived too late for the afternoon low tide but still enjoyed the beach. We ventured out to the beach just after midnight. Enjoyed the glow worms along the walkway and we had the entire beach to ourselves. We dug our hot pool and thoroughly enjoyed our adventure even with a bit of rainfall and wind.
Very cool to go out on the beach at low tide and dig a hot water spa! I recommend going at the morning low tide - We went in the evening and it was complete darkness walking back- even with a flashlight it was difficult
The beach areas are beautiful - loved the walk to cathedral cove - Good path, parking tricky- fills fast. Hit beach at low tide full of people digging their "spa pool". We tried but only one small area on the beach where hot water was consistent to create a spa
Check at the office for the tidal schedule... they have a sign out. We were unaware that the best time to go was two hours before low tide... We went just as the tide was coming back in so we didn't have much time to enjoy the self made pool.
We hired boogie boards for the children and they had lots of fun playing in the surf. The life guards were on duty the entire time we were at the beach. The hot springs were at their hottest after low tide. We saw some people who had burnt their legs! The beach is just long enough for a decent walk. We had dinner at a little village about 15 minutes away. The food was excellent.

Location great. The apartment was really well serviced and looked new. A five star hotel level but comfortable homely atmosphere. My daughters fed the animals and really loved it. Thank you
