Exceptional location against the hills looking across the golf course to the ocean. Idyllic night sky with mist drifting over the mountains. Jen and Warren are fabulous hosts. Jen made us two reservations at wonderful restaurants the Strawberry Tree and Zephyr. I am sure without her wizardry we would not have got into these great places. The next day Jen made us a Jen gin and tonic. She could be an honorary Canadian as it was exactly as we make them at home. Koura Bay Golf resort is an outstanding home away from home. The rooms luxurious spotless well appointed and so quiet. We would highly recommend Koura Bay for all travelers and particularly if you are looking for a golf resort.

Interesting town like an old version of Torquay in Victoria Australia. Great fish and chip shop. Due to the weather we didn’t book any tours out on the water for dolphin watching etc.Interesting historical whaling station nearby and a wonderful old pub next to the pier.

Kaikoura is unique with its rocky mountains coming almost down to the shore. On a fine day, it is stunning. There is a very pleasant walk along the shore from the town centre right to the head of the peninsula. And of course whale-watching is a great attraction.

Highly recommend Kaikoura to anyone & everyone. This is our most favourite holiday destination. The coastline is absolutely stunning as soon as you arrive in Kiakoura. Just absolutely stunning coastline.

We did whale watching which was interesting - kids loved it. We went to the Pier for dinner - fab food and atmosphere. Was just a 1 night stay this time, we come to Kaikōura a bit as live 2 hours away. Great seafood, seal watching.

Kaikoura is so beautiful and the best place in NZ to see Whales. We took a Whale Watch Kaikoura boat trip and it was awesome. It was our second time taking this trip. The first time 4 years ago in April we saw a Sperm whale and a huge pod of dolphins. This time we saw 3 humpback whales and pods of dolphins with their babies. We've done the Kayaking trip as well and it was great. There is surfing and good hikes too. We also did miniput and the escape from at the Emporium.

Beautiful location. Excellent facilities all brand new. Super clean rooms with great shower. Lovely welcome handwritten note and treats. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great on site restaurant with lovely staff and amazing food. Close to waterfront and amenities around Kaikoura. Definitely a 5 star hotel experience.

There really was nothing to fault.it was spick and span and the hosts were great. Every morning asking guests how there day fresh towels each morning and rubbish cleared away. The unit was warm prior to our arrival and even offering fishing rod etc to fish of the beach which was the motels back yard. So wonderful

One of my best stays yet in paid for accommodation. And surprisingly, I've never ever stayed here. It's so cheap considering the beauty of this property. The views of Mt Fyffe ewshhhhhhhhh , what a delightful scenery to wake up to. I will be staying here in many more future visits to Kaikoura ,with my Whãnau
