Very nice accommodation. Clean, good bed, good shower. Once you get there the instructions received by the owner made sense. Would have been nice if bathroom sink was like 15 cm deeper (that would probably still fit). But can't complain, had a great stay. Even the showerhead was adult height (most hotels have the showerhead at shoulder height in NZ which is strange). P.s. the shop across the street had delicious fresh sandwiches.

Loved the individual cottages. Very spacious with a good bathroom and kitchen. Wood burning insert in the living room was a really nice feature. Super friendly staff and a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Location was brilliant, amazing views of the Auckland harbour/skyline, but away from the noise/traffic of the city. We travelled between Auckland city and north shore, so Andy’s house was perfect in the middle. The house was lovely and comfortable, there was a seperate lounge shared between us and one other room, which was nice to have a bit of privacy. Massive outside deck with table/benches to work in the day/relax in the evening. Breakfast was provided, along with all the tea and coffee you could want. Finally, the host family were amazing. Andy, his young son Alan (the little property manager), plus the whole family, were just wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. They were happy to offer suggestions/help, or leave you alone, as you prefer. All in I would definitely stay again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful, private, cozy cottage. Lovely views. Total relaxation. We had one day waiting for a flight so we spent it on the west coast and stayed here. A perfect decision.

    Staff were lovely, we had a very nice stay and were close...

    Staff were lovely, we had a very nice stay and were close enough to all of the activities we had planned while we were traveling. I was traveling with my grandchildren, two of which are picky eaters. I wish it was mentioned that there was no oven in the room we had so we could’ve brought an air fryer. (Not Kumeu cottages fault) other than that we had a great stay and will be visiting again.

    Kumeu has a lot of cafes and food places, a decent supermarket, and is close to a lot of the places we were visiting in West Auckland and the North Shore. We ate at Blossoms Cafe, and had a great meal from Kumeu Roast as well.
