Terrific place with amazing finishings, great layout and very nice touches such as fresh milk in the fridge. A gorgeous surrounding garden and a beautiful modern bathroom made for the perfect refuge.

It was very cozy and a walk from the ferry which we came over on our bikes. It was an easy walk into town and the harbor. Quiet neighborhood. Having the outside patio table and umbrella and the privacy was quite special. We wished we had planned to stay longer.

Great location by the wharf. Very fun to peruse the art gallery in the evening. Beautifully furnished. Breakfast was included which was nice. Host met us and showed us around which was a nice add.

This venue is fantastic and the hosts are wonderful, friendly people. Comfortable beds and scrumptious breakfast. Marie's collection of art and antiques are awesome and we wish we stayed longer just to stand and stare. Highly recommend this B&B.

    We enjoyed the local restaurants .The fish and chips at the smoke house were delicious,as was the smoked snapper we took back to our lovely accomodation.The meal and customer service we experienced at Mapua India Eatery was first class.A great spot to base your self,as you are close to many locations

    A great spot away from the hustle of the city.

    A great spot away from the hustle of the city. The apartments are right next to the Wharfside shops and eateries ( highly recommend the fish and chip shop for yummy fresh gurnard meal - much cheaper than the restaurants.) Convenience store not far away. Would definitely come back again.

    Stunningly beautiful! Everyone should visit. Beautiful place. The Apple Shed had friendly staff & food was very fresh and yummy! Alberta’s was the best breakfast ever! Walking & biking is easy around Māpua. People are very friendly in this quaint place.

    Our stay was outside Christmas, New Year and school holidays, so quiet. Had no issues getting meals at Mapua Wharf, plenty to choose from. Great base for Golden Bay and Nelson. Love taking the ferry to Rabbit Island and biking.

    I have stayed in Mapua many times while holidaying in the region. Its a perfect spot if you don't want to be in the more metropolitan Nelson/Richmond areas but still have all the facilities at hand that you want on a holiday - restaurants, cafes, shops, pub, supermarket, petrol etc etc while still only being half an hour away from Nelson etc

    I had an incredible time here. Sally and Ian were so welcoming and put in every effort to make sure my stay was relaxing and fun. The breakfast especially was delicious! The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was comfy. I really enjoyed sitting out in the terrace with views of the garden, eating dinner in the evenings. It’s just a short walk down to town with restaurants, shops and a weekly market! Mapua itself is a hidden gem, and a great jumping off point for vineyard visits or Abel Tasman explorations.

    Such a lovely welcome! Made sure we had all we needed, including offering milk. Lovely location. 2 or 3 minutes to Mapua Wharf, slightly longer to the town centre. Very clean, very well laid out. Great heater! We went out for dinner with family, came back to warm unit. Coffee machine and capsules, several options. Range of teas on offer. We felt spoilt.

    The property was immaculate and there were lovely views across the beautiful garden towards the water. It was half an hour’s walk into Mapua walk and a half an hours drive to Kaiteriteri for beautiful walks and a taste of paradise. Chrissie, our host was exceptionally welcoming, and looked after us very well!

    The home made breakfast by Nicky was amazing. Excellent location just a short stroll to Māpua Wharf. Beautiful gardens which were very peaceful. The room was spotless and I particularly liked the bathroom layout. The shower was awesome too.
