Lovely staff and location made our stay over Christmas very pleasurable. The wood fired hot tubs were a lovely edition and worth paying for. We did it for sunset and loved the views over the lake and ordered dinner to the hot tub!

The delicious food at the restaurant and the experience of dining in a space that felt almost like living as a local made this the most wonderful feel of our entire trip. I hope to return to this place the next time I visit New Zealand.

Very nice and spacious room with a splendid view to the mountains. The place is quiet and surrounded by nature, has a terrace where you can spend your summer nights looking at the starry NZ sky. The host were very nice and responsive, had lots of pleasant conversations with them and provided a delicious dinner as advertised. I strongly recommend their place for your stay on the West Coast!

Village in a beautiful setting near native forest park and overlooking Lake Brunner. A small number of occupied original houses and lots of new modern holiday homes that would likely be busy in the Summer water-skiing season. Neat historic railway buildings. A great place to stop on the Tranzscenic with a couple of good places to eat overlooking the lake. Beautiful short bush walks nearby.

It is a wonderful spot and surprisingly didn't cost the earth. We ate in the Lodge and the food was excellent. The lodge and the owners are wonderful. There is a short length of unpaved road to get to the lodge but don't let that deter you. It passes quickly and just adds to its charm.

Nice and quiet before Christmas, afterwards gets very busy with holiday makers, good walking tracks around the area. Great place if you have a boat, water skiing etc. Greymouth is only 25 minutes away if you need to go to a supermarket i.e. Countdown and New World. There is a convenience store (On the Spot) on the outskirts of Moana.

The location was excellent. We could see the lake from our room. Our room was dated - not surprisingly. Kitchenette supplies were interesting, eg not enough large plates or regular glasses for 4, 2 sets of salt and pepper. Our dinner and breakfast were amazing, and we were served pretty quickly even though the dining room was full. The staff were friendly and helpful. We took several walks close to the hotel

The room was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. Just outside of Moana so nice and peaceful. The shower pressure was crazy good. Parking right outside our room. Plenty of food for a continental breakfast which was restocked each day! Fantastic value for money. We will definitely be back to stay again.
