The cottage was lovely, nestled in the trees at the bottom of the farm. Cosy and warm with plenty of heating and extra blankets if needed. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics. It reminded us of your grandma's bach, very homely. John was an awesome host who showed us around the farm and the new baby lamb. The dumpling cart on the property was an easy and delicious option for Saturday night takeaways (get the dessert ones too). We will definitely be back!

Peter and Michelle are really exceptionnel hosts. We enjoyed our stay with them on Hilltop Whakaipo Estate a lot (in capitals and with 3 t's :-) ) Breakfast fresh for you whatever you like and if necessary they offer a second helping. The estate is beautifully located and maintained with love and passion. 3 friendly dogs (bigger ones) are also part of the accomodation. When you want to play with them, you can. If not, the dogs accept. We stayed 4 nights and not once heard a bark. Drive to Taupo around 10-15 minutes, but that didn't bother us. If chance occurs, we definitely will stay with them again.

Beautiful location, and if we had been staying longer than one night, it would have been the perfect place to relax and read in the sunshine. We arrived late afternoon and missed out on this aspect of the property. The property was clean and tidy: it has a lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. The bedroom was very tastefully done, with an good bed, and opened onto a small patio with a chimenea and wood to burn in it, with the garden beyond, and a view of Lake Taupo in the distance. Breakfast was provided in a little pantry style room with a fridge and crockery, and was all we needed. Cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast and spreads. There is hanging space in this room for a longer stay. Beyond a toaster and kettle there are no cooking facilities however. Taupō is a drive away and has plenty of eating places. Internet access is good.

The farmstay apartment is very comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The setting is idyllic in beautiful countryside.

Visiting family in Kinloch so location was perfect; beautiful house, well looked after and clean with great facilities. Was only there 1 night so did not use much of the property but if we're in Kinloch again, we'd definately try to book this ppty again. Serenity, peace and quiet in luxury surroundings. High quality furnishings, decor, and facilities. We loved the indoor and outdoor baths! Beautiful scenery and view. A very romantic location for a wedding anniversary. We also love the pot belly fire.
