Aoraki Court Motel is a modern accommodations located in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. All units feature great views of surrounding mountains and Mount Sefton. The room have everything what we need, and view is amazing, this is second time we came here, absolutely recommend it!
Set in Mount Cook National Park, a range of accommodations including motel rooms, lodge rooms and shared rooms are on offer at Mt Cook Lodge and Motel. Our room on the first floor was superb. Spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and views to die for from the spacious balcony. We had dinner the night we arrived in the hotel restaurant, cafeteria style - nothing special but good, reasonably priced food and with tables overlooking Mount Cook. On our second night we booked a table at the sister hotel, The Armitage, just along the road. There is a choice of dining in either the Alpine restaurant with an extensive buffet or the Panorama restaurant for more intimate a la carte dining. We chose the Alpine which also has equally wonderful panoramic views of Mt Cook because it offered more choice. However, at busy times it can get very crowded around the buffet! Due to the Covid-19 outbreak it was relatively quiet during our stay but when a coach load arrived things still got busy. We were very happy to have booked a room at the Lodge rather than the more expensive rooms at the Hermitage which lacked balconies and, as we understand, were much older and more expensive.
Located in Mount Cook Village in the Canterbury region, Aoraki Alpine Chalet has a balcony and mountain views. The Chalet was warm, cosy and so well-equipped, with great WiFi and Netflix……. But why would you look at a screen with the most magnificent view of the mountains out of nearly every window???!!!! Simply breathtaking!!! The hosts are very helpful and the location is so convenient to the Information Centre, Hermitage and track trailheads. Our stay was simply wonderful!
Located on State Highway 6, nestled at the base of the majestic Southern Alps, this hotel offers comfortable accommodations right by the South West World Heritage Park, in Fox Glacier Village. Comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff, and quiet since it is slightly off the main road. The hotel bar and restaurant is also good value and welcoming. I'll definitely stay again next time.

So beautiful. Lots of choices for short achievable family day walks. The hooker valley walk was stunning. Not a huge amount of options for food options at the moment so if your room has facilities bring some supplies.
Beautiful scenery, lots of walks to do all with great views. Good activities to take part in, but can be costly. Walks are free!! Not many options for eating though, but YHA has great self catering facilities.
We didnt really have anything to do with the actual village as we were on a mission to bike to the glacier in the morning and we were departing on return. Its so conveniently placed and of course where ever you are in the village you get stunning 'eye candy'. One of those places that everywhere you go or turn you say "Oh wow!" We ate at the Hermitage restaurant and didnt hold out much hope as we are vegans....the chef went out of his way as did the serving staff to provide us with more food than we should have eaten but oh my it was delicious. Wonderful staff everywhere. We highly recommend a trip to the planetarium, very informative and of course you get to put your newly gained knowledge into practise looking up at the night sky later. Tasman glacier is a stones throw (in our case a bike ride) away, a short walk up to the viewing area and "OH WOW!" Go see it, before it disappears.
What a stunning location even though we couldn’t see Mt Cook we loved being there. We will definitely be heading back it was a magic place to just relax or take up some tours and strolling in the beauty of it all.
The mountains, glaciers, lakes and wild flowers make this place truly picturesque. Among many of the tracks, my favourite is still the Hooker Valley Track. It always surprises you along the walk. Heli Hiking on the Tasman Glacier is another highlight. You will be stunned in the beautiful blue cave.
If you really want to explore Aoraki National Park - there is no place better than the village. Give yourself plenty of time, and attempt to do as many walks as possible. Hooker Valley track is a must do!
The house was ideal for two couples. It was very homely, warm when we arrived, and there was a fire which added to the ambience. Facilities were good. From the house you could see Mt Cook from the lounge and bedroom. It was awesome. For us the stay was perfect. Easy walk to Visitors centre which was exceptional and to The Heritage hotel for a meal.
There are not many accommodation options if you visit Mt.cook National Park. This hotel is four-star rated and may not cheaper option in this area. However, most of their rooms have such great mountain views. Amenity, service and the caterings are also awesome.
Fabulous location with great views of the mountains and close to park trails. Several restaurants within walking distance. They have a nice guest laundry room in a central location. Would highly recommend this place!
Very comfortable, friendly place to stay in the heart of Aoraki Mt Cook NP. Very helpful staff and followed up on my waitlist request - 5 months later!! Great service. :-) Great view from our private room with bath.
Hotel room was clean and modern.
