Located on the waterfront with panoramic Pacific Ocean views, the Art Deco Masonic Hotel features free WiFi and historic Art Deco architecture. Guests enjoy 2 bars and 2 restaurants. The manager of the hotel, the dear man - Graham - a unique personality: his approach to hotel guests, his professionalism, his presence at the right time and in the right place, sets a personal example for his employees. And so in direct consequence, his wonderful team functions: with a smile from the first moment you arrive at the reception and present with you every moment during your stay at the hotel. Even in the good times and especially in the hard times!!! With you and for you all the way. They simply gave peace of mind and complete security before and during the cyclone - Gabriel. Marine Parade, Napier
Boasting luxury accommodation with a balcony or a patio offering sea views, this beachfront property is located on Napier’s iconic Marine Parade, just a 9-minute walk from McLean Park. There was a bit of a mixup with the room, my freind and I needed two beds and the room had just one. But staff quickly moved us into a three bedroom, two floor suite that had a full kitchen, and a sauna, among other things. We were also given milk for our coffee and tea. Most rooms also have beach views although our new one did not. Napier is a lovely town and the hotel is right near downtown and right next to the beach.

We lived here for 7 years in the late 60,s until 1973. Wanted to see the damage sustained after the cyclone earlier this year. The town has stayed much the same has we remembered just updated inner city, larger suburbs.
Have you ever been to Napier? You are missing out on a treat. It is such a beautiful place! Napier is the perfect destination for family leisure. There are plenty of fun activities for kids and families, from gorgeous beaches to fascinating hikes. Plus, it is one of the safest places to raise your children. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere makes it hard to not enjoy yourself. That’s not all - the city is multicultural with plenty of fruits and locally-owned ice cream shops that offer exciting flavors! If you’re looking for an interesting getaway that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family, Napier should be your top choice.
We stayed in Napier to catch up with friends as we had lived there previously. So did not attend any of the major attractions. Despite it being only 4 weeks since a Cyclone Gabrielle had hit the area, Napier was fully operational and we enjoyed some shopping. Some devastating views were still seen in a couple of areas though. Travel from Napier to Hastings is still difficult as there are only two roads joining the cities and traffic hold ups are possible when people are heading to/from work.
The location for what I needed, and the facilities was perfect for me and one other. The closeness to the aquarium was a minute walk. the beach front across the road. I could walk left to go into the city, or right for a quieter peaceful walk. My view of the sea and the sound and smell added to the feeling of being on a relaxing break. I was received pleasantly and a friendly welcome. I loved the spa in my room and thoroughly enjoyed it.
No air conditioning, only 2 fans, one fan in the laundry had dust all over it. I was scared to use it, wondering if it would blow up. The 2 fans brought absolutely no relief from the hot humid weather. Not thoroughly cleaned, cobwebs in the end bedroom in the corners of both sides of the windows, crumbs in the glass measuring jug when we arrived. Not advertised it is not a motel/hotel, so there are written rules on the fridge of cleaning to be done before you leave otherwise you are charged an extra $100, an extra $20 if you want your room service daily. I left it cleaner then what I got it No eftpos machine, therefore takes all card details Has a dog onsite, that does it business on the grass outside. They are a lovely couple and hospitable Great to have a swimming pool, for some relief of the heat, laundry facilities are good-not very clean the room. I will not return to this place
Although it rained for the 5 days we stayed it was warm and didn’t hinder our stay, we used umbrellas. There is so much to do in Napier and surrounding areas depending on what you are interested in. We went for lunch at some of the wineries and definitely recommend Shed 530 and Te Awanga. You have to check out the area Ahuriri, it’s a great hideaway with great cafes. Hapi in the city centre is an organic cafe with great coffee and yummy food, they are also a shop and natural dispensary, they also cater to vegans. Loads of quirky places. Absolutely love Napier.
Our spacious room was on the ground floor with an outside sitting area overlooking an expanse of grass and water. The bed was comfortable and large, The room was well equipped with cutlery, crockery & a microwave. The bathroom & shower were spacious. The room was very quiet as it is surrounded by open grounds. It is between the airport and the main tourist area so you definitely need a car. We returned for a second night at the end of our visit to the Napier region as we had been so satisfied with the room and the tranquility.
Napier
We had a room with a beautiful sea view but unfortunately Cyclone Gabrielle hit Napier on Monday night. Gagah, motel manager was exceptional in keeping us up to date. Letting us stay longer as all roads from Napier were closed. He provided a bbq and gas to enable cooking and nothing was too much trouble. We cannot thank or praise him enough for his help and support during a very difficult time especially as he had his own family to worry about.
Napier
This place is amazing to stay at so friendly and clean. This was our 3rd stay here and everytime we visit napier this is our number 1 choice. Staff are always so friendly and the cleanliness of the place is amazing. Being a cleaner myself I like things done properly and I know how hard work cleaning hotels is but everytime our rooms have been amazing and well worth our money for a great night's sleep.
Napier
Very nice apartment separate from the rest of the hosts house. Good hot tub overlooking the ocean! Super friendly hosts who really care about you and your stay. Breakfast was left in the room, cold options but with good coffee. Convenient to the whole Napier area but outside of it a bit so quieter and more relaxed. They had bikes for use as there are trails all over.
Napier
Fascinating old building, survived the Napier earthquake of 1931 with some damage, several pictures around the building showing newspaper cuttings from that time as well as picture of the damage to the Hotel. Friendly staff, very helpful, facilities were generally basic but clean and communal areas were kept tidy and clean.
I loved the room we stayed in (Anna Pavlova Suite) .. was so beautiful i didn't want to leave. The location of the hotel is great , close to basically everything & the view from the room was wonderful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Definitely staying here next time I'm in napier 😊
Napier
Our room was HUGE and very clean. The location on West Quay turned out to be perfect. There were several cafes and restaurants very close by (try Salty Whale). The hotel offers free washing machine and only $2 for using the dryer. The reception staff were pleasant and very helpful.
The room matched the proposal and was it self nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The hotel fortunately was equipped with a elevator, what was realy helpfull. The hotel it self is located next to downtown Napier, a few steps away from every thing.
Napier
The hotel could not have been more perfectly located in Napier. The morning view is amazing and the city sounds at night are great. Great walking distance to ample restaurants and points of interest. Looking forward to coming back again some day soon.

Really clean, quiet, room was a good size and hosts were great. Helped us out with some great recommendations for restaurants. We have stayed at a few motels/hotels around Napier. This one will be our new regular!
I am more than happy with the Quality Inn Napier, it is in a great location on Marine Parade opposite the water. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a full kitchen & a spa bath. Parking is also provided.
