Mostly great people at the incoming desk. The room was pleasant with nice towels and sheets. The room and bathroom were clean. Loved the shower! Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Lighting was wonderful in the bathroom. Could have used a lamp on the desk as it was dark in that corner.

Scenic Hotel Te Pania enjoys a waterfront location on Marine Parade, overlooking Hawkes Bay. The location and the view from our hotel bedroom
The pavements are flat with great access for the disabled in most shops, cafes are brilliant with wonderful coffee, the atmosphere around the town is buoyant, everyone is friendly. The boardwalk along the seafront is long and interesting. A great place for a visit.
Big variety of eating places and a variety of places to visit. Great wineries, Art Deco Tour, Bluff Hill Lookout , Te Mata Peak and lovely walks along the sea front. Great surfing beach with golden sand about a 30 minute drive north from Napier but cannot remember the name !
A great little city with its interesting earthquake history and beautiful Art Deco buildings not to mention the Mediterranean climate. What’s not to like? Oh just the beach that is not good for swimming
Napier is a nice place to visit by the sea. Lots of old art deco buildings that have been painted and kept in good condition. (if you like art deco buildings checkout Mumbai on internet there are loads of them.) Lots of good shops for art deco items and vintage clothing. Would like to go there in February for art deco festival I imagine it being a good experience seeing all the old cars and people dressing up like stepping back to the 1930's. We liked the beach at sunset even though it is a sunrise beach some statues there make for some good photos. Could of spent more time in Napier but was on tight schedule.
Napier has something for everyone. We had the most awesome holiday here on the beach. I felt like I was exploring a different country. We will come again. I recommend having a car to get out to the pristine sand beaches. The kids loved the skate park!
A really nice town. Great architecture, shopping and things to do. Beautiful views from The Bluff-hair-raising to get up there but worth it. The Irish Pub’s dining room was beautiful and even had the fireplace going to creat even more atmosphere on a cool evening. We enjoyed Napier very much!
The hotel is on the beachfront, a short stroll to central Napier and the fabulous art deco buildings. Every guest room has a sea view. It was bliss to be able to throw open the window in my room and lie in bed listening to the waves crashing on the beach. With a good tea selection in the room, I loved the added touch of the teapot. Felt like a home away from home, being able to contemplate the day ahead, sitting with a pot of green tea and looking out at the sea. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was a problem.
Room was excellent and very clean, bed very comfortable I slept well. Very impressed with the extra goodies that were provided, those biscuits were amazing with a cup of tea after a long day, most appreciated thank you ☺ Also the lovely bottle of wine but as I couldn't drink it there took it with me to drink for new years at home. (I did ask ☺) Very friendly helpful hosts. I would definitely stay again if I visited Napier again.
Basically all, I will vote this hotel as number one hotel for my whole trip. The unit is big, room is comfortable, clean, quiet, and the basically got all that I need. Love the heating system in the room, very comfortable, friendly stuff, clean room, and the location is close to many restaurants. If I will come to Napier again, will surely stay here.
The hotel is in a good, quiet location for Napier as hard to get something close to water where freight trucks don't go past all night. (close to port) It's set off from main thoroughfare. Great views in some rooms and good restaurants nearby and relatively close to main centre of you are up to a 20 minute or so walk. Modern, clean hotel
Very warm welcome, and a beautiful little sun room where you can eat your breakfast, with view of the marine parade and sea. You must try their homemade marmalade and jam! Great location, in walking distance of places to eat and exploring all Napier has to offer.
The reception lady very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely clean and fresh. Location was perfect. 3mins walk to Napier CBD. Beach across the road with plenty for the little kids and teens to keep occupied. Highly rated and would stay again 😊😊
The property was located on Marine Parade and our room had excellent sea views. It was clean and spacious with the added luxury of a large spa bath in the main room. This would be one of the best value motels we have stayed in.
A lovely hideaway with a rural feel yet just a few minutes drive from Napier. Lovely outdoor spa tub and warm spacious accommodation with very comfy bed. 5 stars all round.
we love Napier, we love the Masonic Hotel......one of the best places we have stayed......and this was our 3rd time - because of the staff attitude ....it may be our last
The room was exclusively clean and tidy. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Had a great time there. Hotel gave a compliment to our trip to Napier.☺️☺️☺️
