The location for what I needed, and the facilities was perfect for me and one other. The closeness to the aquarium was a minute walk. the beach front across the road. I could walk left to go into the city, or right for a quieter peaceful walk. My view of the sea and the sound and smell added to the feeling of being on a relaxing break. I was received pleasantly and a friendly welcome. I loved the spa in my room and thoroughly enjoyed it.
No air conditioning, only 2 fans, one fan in the laundry had dust all over it. I was scared to use it, wondering if it would blow up. The 2 fans brought absolutely no relief from the hot humid weather. Not thoroughly cleaned, cobwebs in the end bedroom in the corners of both sides of the windows, crumbs in the glass measuring jug when we arrived. Not advertised it is not a motel/hotel, so there are written rules on the fridge of cleaning to be done before you leave otherwise you are charged an extra $100, an extra $20 if you want your room service daily. I left it cleaner then what I got it No eftpos machine, therefore takes all card details Has a dog onsite, that does it business on the grass outside. They are a lovely couple and hospitable Great to have a swimming pool, for some relief of the heat, laundry facilities are good-not very clean the room. I will not return to this place
Although it rained for the 5 days we stayed it was warm and didn’t hinder our stay, we used umbrellas. There is so much to do in Napier and surrounding areas depending on what you are interested in. We went for lunch at some of the wineries and definitely recommend Shed 530 and Te Awanga. You have to check out the area Ahuriri, it’s a great hideaway with great cafes. Hapi in the city centre is an organic cafe with great coffee and yummy food, they are also a shop and natural dispensary, they also cater to vegans. Loads of quirky places. Absolutely love Napier.
Beautiful location 🏖️Room was nice and clean. We stayed in one of those shared walk in rooms and both sides even had there own bathrooms which was a big fat plus😊Would Highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay❤️🥰
Loved Napier lovely place to visit, we only stayed there for two days but had a lovely time, we’re able to walk around everywhere, as everything was in walking distance, lots of nice restaurants and shopping. Would go back again for longer.
Beautiful city. Loved the walk along the sea front, the museum, all the amazing buildings. Very friendly people. Close to good wineries (Brookfields Vineyard and Cone & Flower - includes Zeelandt Brewery) and Rasoi Indian Restaurant was absolutely exceptional - one of the best Indian meals I have eaten.
Napier
Cobden Gardens was a lovely place to stay. Phillip and Rayma were exceptional hosts who made us feel right at home and were gracious hosts. The room was lovely - with plenty of room and a beautiful view of the countryside. It was close to the central business district restaurants and they even called to set up a dinner reservation one night. Each evening there was wine and snacks on the porch overlooking their garden which was a delightful addition to our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Napier and with Phillip and Rayma.
Napier
Staff are friendly and helpful. Units are spacious and comfortable - we had a one bedroom unit that had wall bed in the lounge which was great to free up room. Lots of family facilities like pool with a slide, spa pool (new !), games room with pool table, table tennis, playstation. To make laundry easier they even have a large clothes line out the back and smaller airing racks. Very handy to Taradale shops, New World and Anderson Park and 10 minute drive to Napier city.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had plenty of space, comfortable bed, lovely decor, bright and clean, with a great view of the town and some sea view. We really appreciated the notes and lovely touches you did to make us feel so welcome, like the welcome book with history of hotel, food in fridge/ counter and sharing things to do in the area.
Napier
we only stayed for a night, is a normal hotel, the rooms are comfortable and the personal are nice. The game room is awesome, with a pool table that can turn into a ping pong table, a foosball, books and a lot of board games. Is close to Napier center, so there is a lot of places to shop or visit nearby.
The ambiance of the hotel was fantastic. Our room was spacious, well maintained, and very comfortable. We would have liked to see the town when the shops were open, but did enjoy walking around and admiring the Art Deco buildings. The park was quite beautiful and impeccably cared for.
Napier
Our room was HUGE and very clean. The location on West Quay turned out to be perfect. There were several cafes and restaurants very close by (try Salty Whale). The hotel offers free washing machine and only $2 for using the dryer. The reception staff were pleasant and very helpful.
Best hotel in Napier. I loved every minute of my stay. The room was fantastic and had everything you need for a holiday. I would definitely come back and book here again. Staff is so kind, helpful and friendly. I just loved it... don't want to leave....

Ocean view, which is always a plus. On Marine Parade - central to where we needed to be. We visit Napier often, so have had the experience of walking along the beachfront. The room was a bit worn, but loved our stay. The bed was exceptionally comfy.
