Situated on a hillside in central Picton, Broadway Motel is a 7-minute walk from the InterIslander Ferry Terminal. Picton Railway Station, shops, cafés and bars are all less than 500 metres away.

We booked one night as we were sailing on the Interislander the next morning. Very quiet, clean, and comfortable. Everything was in good condition and working order. If you need a few snacks there is a convenience store literally next door. Highly recommended.

    Great place.

Great place. We stayed at Picton Campervan Park and it was a great walking distance to pubs and town. They have cabins that are absolutely spotless and so comfortable. The beach and foreshore are just alive with people, watching all the flash boats coming and going. Sitting on the veranda of the Waitoi Tavern, sheltered from the sun and enjoying conversation with friendly people travelling was just tops. And the meals at the Waitoi Tavern were value for money in comparison to the other pubs. Fish was so fresh! and plenty of it on the plate! We only stayed two nights, just wasn't long enough, already planning another trip!

Picton is the gateway to the Sounds.

Picton is the gateway to the Sounds. We were meeting our daughter and husband to make daytrips on their yacht to outer bays, sailing and fishing, but there are water taxis which will drop/collect to various bays for swimming and fishing. There are lovely walking tracks. Nice place to visit.

    Great little beach town.

Great little beach town. We stayed for one night as a pass through and it exceeded expectations. Wish we were there longer. The scenery was magnificent, great shops and food spots right along the beach.

We were there at the start of the tourist season so some restrictions on what nature tours/boat trips and restaurant options were available. But if walking and nature are your thing then it is the place to visit.

Picton is a nice place to visit for a day trip or a full weekend. Not just a place to catch the ferry to Wellington as it has plenty of activities to do while you are there. Good cafes and bars, fantastic harbour views if you are staying somewhere close to the forshore. Plenty of walking tracks of different fitness levels to do, boat cruises, fishing & biking.

This property is not the plaza hotel in New York City. It’s a fantastic property in small town New Zealand with a great kid friendly pool, clean economically priced rooms, a nice breakfast and the best location. I don’t get the low rating in booking. The staff is also very friendly. Stay here. A great spot and great value. Thanks

Friendliest, most helpful folks you could ever want to meet. Tracee offered advice on where to eat and offered to drive us there. And next morning her husband took us down to the train station! (Their hotel is a good walk from town with luggage). But The Crow Pub is a five minute walk; with good food.

We loved the feeling of seclusion but only being a 20 minute walk into town. The hot tub was also a favourite with us! Max & Rhonda put such an effort into small, personal touches and it really made our stay! Would definitely recommend to anyone going through Picton.

We had a very brief, overnight stay when we got off of the Ferry on our way south. Room 15. Nice kitchenette. Very clean and comfortable. Mellow area to stay. Close to shopping, food and other resources, for Picton, but yeah, about that...
