Queenstown is regarded as the adventure capital of New Zealand and we agree .. We have stayed in Queenstown many times and we love the huge choice of bars and restaurants all within walking distance of many hotels and motels. A must do is a trip on the steamer Earnslaw and at least one jet boat ride with one of the several companies available. The scenery really is amazing and we have travelled to many parts of the World and it is up there, so a trip to new Zealand should include Queenstown for at least 5 days.
Picturesque town situated on a stunning lake with surrounding mountain views. Beautiful hiking and cycling trials easily accessed from town. Excellent dining and wineries to explore within and around Queenstown.
Quenstown had a lot of things to do and was extremely busy with tourists in Jan. It was buzzing. There was lots for work available for anyone wanting a working holiday and lots of thrilling activities if you have the money for them.
My partner and I spent 4 days in Queenstown in the summer and I think that was a great amount of time during the summer. We are a very active couple so we went on a few walks around the lake and climbed Roy’s Peak in Wanaka! That was stunning, takes about 2 hours to get up and it is steep but the track isn’t difficult. We rented a car at Hit h rental which was affordable compared to other hire companies and it gave us the freedom to explore but keep in mind in Queenstown there isn’t much parking. We parked all day in a little side street. We drove to Glenorchy and stopped at little beaches on the way, such as Wilson bay. I recommend doing that. You must go to Ferg burger in QT but be prepared to wait an hour because there is always a line.
Wonderful part to the country. Good restaurants Accommodation a bit expensive but really worth the cost for a few days. a part of New Zealand that is so divers and beautiful that it sums up the whole country.
Vibrant place of stunning beauty. Great selection of restaurants, bars and shops. For nature lovers there are number of walks/ hikes in the area. Adrenaline junkies can fulfill their desires on mountain bike tracks, bungee jumping or go karts. An awesome place for holidays!

It is a good place to stay with the car if you want to be more away from the city and it’s noise. The botel is located arround 7 km from Queenstown centre. The rooms are big, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is also clean and good. Balcony and view is amazing. Hotel features laundry and huge kitchen. Wifi was good and limited to 2 gb for three days. But we did not used this amount fully. There is a construction going out besides hotel, so in a daytime there can be some noise and dust. We could not find any things to be sad about.

The apartment was awesome. It had such a great vibe to it, and was fitted with everything you needed. Amazing views of the mountains and it was close to the towns centre (10-15 minute walk). My partner loved the heated floors! Had great wifi connect, that was unlimited. They also had Foxtel or something along those lines, I say that only because it didn't have all the channels that Foxtel usually does here in Australia. But this didn't bother us.

Small, but very comfortable room. Quiet on the top floor facing the back of the property. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. We left luggage while we did a 3 day hike and the hotel was very accommodating. I only wish we had stayed here when we first arrived in Queenstown. Location is great, on a quiet street but close to restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

The location was good only a 5 min walk to the town centre through the lake front, the staff were very friendly and lovely front desk helped us leave our things after checkout so we could come back later to get them. We used the spa which was lovely after a freezing evening! I have stayed here before and will keep choosing this hotel when in Queenstown.

they are nice to let us stay even though we bring a little kid, the location is very strategic with lake view. the staffs are nice, they helped me book a shuttle to airport with cheaper price than taxi. however, when we stayed, there was noise from bar near the hotel.. they play music until mid night.
