A wonderful place to stay! The staff is quite nice but we were bit disappointed for not getting enough information for late check in. We were there quite some time to make phone calls but no answer. No instructions to send to us for late check in.
Queenstown has so much to offer Skiing and snowboarding on Coronet and Remarkables in winter Mountain bike tracks Lovely cafes Excellent shopping Excellent restaurants Luge rides and gondolas Bunny jumps Jet boat rides Flights and bus trips to Milford Earnslaw trip to sheep station Remarkable fudge shop Arrowtown One hour drive to Wānaka go to the Cardrona hotel Helicopter tours and heliskiing Water taxi to Hilton hotel for tea or lunch Glenorchy day trip So much more
We had a short stay on our way to Wanaka; I really liked the town particularly the range of restaurants so close to the lake. We dined at Fogo Brazilian, fantastic restaurant with delicious food. Lots of places to walk too and we appreciated the local park. We flew in and got around the local area without a car. We will definitely visit again.
Queenstown is a fantastic destination for anyone and everyone. If you are a thrill seeker then you will be in paradise with so many challenges and thrills on offer. If you are a snow bunny you are spoilt for choice. Stay long enough to do all the surrounding ski fields and pick your favourite to return to a few more times. Wineries, Micro breweries, many restaurants and bars, many with something different about them. One bar/restaurant even has a roof that opens. Views in every direction and all of them stunning. Lots of close by attractions and places of interest for day trips. Car museums/ race tracks, to lavender farms and pick your own cherry orchards (summer only). Steam boat relaxing lake cruises or hi speed jet boat river rides. Parasailing, Paraponting, skydiving, and of course Bungy Jumping. Many treks and tramping trails. Queenstown itself is quite compact and easy to get around the main shopping and restaurant and bar areas on foot. the Bus service is very well priced, about $2. per person from town the airport. Ubers are available and plenty of taxi are about town should you need one. For tours further afield Cheeky Kiwi do amazing tours out to Milford Sound. We did one. 12 Hour day but worth it. Totally informative, educational and spectacular views both ways as well as the cruise out at Milford included in the price. So many other things on offer. Worth the trip, or several trips to re do favourites and add some new stuff.
I will not recommend this hotel because the management has accused us of bringing a toaster in the room. Paying this hotel for more than 3 thousand dollars, I can go to the nicest restaurant and order a crunchy toasted bread rather than bringing a heavy bulky machine in the room giving myself a hard time.
Stayed at Ramada Remarkables and it was easy quick drive from the airport, even on the left side of the road. Within walking distance was a decent Thai place and a pho place. Both good, and there were other choices too. Best for us was the large grocery store we could walk to to stock up for our NZ exploration.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. Everything was delightful, from the beautiful quirky decor, the friendly helpful and polite staff, to the complimentary drinks and snacks. The location is great, it is just a short walk into the centre of Queenstown. The hotel is very clean and has everything you would need for a relaxing stay. I could see the snow capped mountains from my room, which was a treat to wake up to. I highly recommend staying here and I can’t wait to come back again.
The apartment was very spacious with spectacular views over the lake. We liked the way you could walk into the centre of Queenstown via the Frankston track. A very scenic walking and cycling track, running along the side of the lake all the way, which you could directly access from the Hotel. The bathroom was very "high spec" complete with underfloor heating. The water pressure was excellent. The best we've ever experienced from any hotel.
The Hotel & Apartments was just as it was described on the listing. Initially there was some confusion regarding the room that I had booked but staff were quick and efficient in remedying the mistake. The location was exceptional and really close to the town centre and central to get everywhere and anywhere by foot and car. Room service was very good too and it was a very comfortable stay. Very friendly staff!
Queenstown
the location very close to town,, stations,, restaurants, tour agency ,, shops, bus lane etc in short very accessible to everywhere just a walk distance. and I like the fact that the pod is private very clean and people stay in and staff are decent.. not as cheap as other hostel but the rate will meet your expectation.. still affordable.. I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Queenstown
Located just a few minutes drive from the centre of Queenstown. The Hotel offers a courtesy bus to drop you off and pick you up which is very helpful. Beautiful views from the room of the mountain and lake. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our room with a quick tour. The room was a large size and featured a spa bath and fantastic shower.
Kelvin Heights, Queenstown
The Hilton Queenstown hotel is superb in every respect: beautiful property, perfect setting and great service. It is the best stay in the area by far with a water taxi to the centre of town at the door for popping into town otherwise just stay put and enjoy the facilities of the resort and the friendly staff: highly recommended.
Amazing experience! My partner and I love Queenstown. We traveled from Dunedin for a secret elopement. Everything was great. Beautiful place to stay and just a short walk to the Queenstown centre. When we checked out the lovely woman behind the desk congratulated us and gifted us a bottle of bubbles. We will be back :)
Only a short walk down the hill to the centre. The walk back up the hill is steep! Great view out over the lake from my room on the 3rd floor. Comfortable beds, clean room, great shower, friendly staff and decent sized gym facilities (I used the treadmill). Parking (free) was on side street or out front of the hotel.
Reception and hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Place is new, room was comfortable with modern facilities. Although facing roadside, the room we stayed in was quiet. Nice view from lobby, modern hotel concept which is nice. Great location and close to centre. Will definitely go back when in Queenstown again.
We stayed in a spacious room (805) with excellent views of the lake, mountains and steamer wharf. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the young man who checked us in. This hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre of Queenstown. We will stay here again.
The room was comfortable and clean. Shower was amazing and I love the smell of the inhouse liquid soap and shampoo. The location for me was perfect, even though it's a few kilometers away from the centre of Queenstown as we preferred the calmness of the place.
The location is a short drive from the centre of Queenstown - but is well worth it (especially if you have a hire car) It is quiet, lovely restaurants and cafes nearby and also in the Hotel itself. Staff were always pleasant and attentive. Loved our stay here.
Queenstown
great location - walking distance to the main Queenstown centre to access food/drink/supplies we went for a friends birthday dinner so ease of walking to and from was essential! very affordable - which great given the cost of flying to Queenstown
Queenstown
Coronet View is in a quiet part of Queenstown with good views and easy access to the centre. Nice to be close to the road to Arrowtown which is well worth a visit. The hotel is set amid lovely gardens.
