We loved our stay at Regan House!! Judith was just the sweetest! She was very welcoming and warm! Her home is beautifully decorated, beds are comfy! We had great conversation around the breakfast table. She encouraged us to drive the Forgotten World Hwy and we are so glad we did! Regan House is one of our top experiences at a B n B’s! Our breakfast was outstanding 5 ⭐️! Highly recommend to stay here if you are in the area!

Excellent quiet property with new, top-tier fittings and fixures, friendly and helpful host, very comfortable beds, well equipped coffee/tea making facilities, room cleaned daily, continental breakfast stocked daily in the fridge in the room - allowed us to eat at leisure at our own time! Great view of Mt Taranki from the room (courtesty - clouds permitting, see attached pic). 6 min drive to Stratford town, 35 min drive to New Plymouth.

Jarene escorted us to Tiny KEA. Communication was fast and easy, especially via text. Hot water stopped working but a quick text to the host, sent someone to fix it for us. I requested firewood ($20) for an outdoor fire to watch the stars at night. Unfortunately didn't have NZ cash with me but Jarene kindly accepted AUS cash. She gifted a few fresh eggs which we enjoyed. Thank you for a cosy stay. We had fantastic views of Mt Taranaki and the Milky Way.

    It was very poor accommodation.

    It was very poor accommodation. Not clean before we got there room was very smelly n musky dirty smell. Lots missing from room. Utensils, TV remote, pots, toaster, iron. We couldn’t book anywhere else all booked out a big festival was on in the area. Emergency housing was in the Lodge they were disgustingly dirty (bogens) Dogs inside their hotel room. Their rooms were disgustingly yuk. Not a good experience I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Very poor. Bad Experience.

    We visited the new swing bridge just out of Stratford, takes...

    We visited the new swing bridge just out of Stratford, takes about a half hour walk to get to it but well worth it. Walked to the township for a meal which was good as the weather was superb. We dined at Malones for dinner which was really nice. On the Sunday we had a great coffee and cake at a little gallery just off the main street which was a hidden gem.

    This was a great stay the bull on the farm was my highlight.

    This was a great stay the bull on the farm was my highlight. He beautiful. The own was great to del with. I would definitely recommend this place. Location was close to everything a less than a 10 min drive to shopes and places to eat. The place was well equipped.

    Love the river walks and so many outdoors activities handy.

    Love the river walks and so many outdoors activities handy. Enjoy the 3 bridges walkway. Not a young couple but do visit Stratford fom time to time. Cheese factory at Eltham and trips up the mountain.

    I was born in Stratford . .

    I was born in Stratford . . It was quite warm with a little rain .. It's not a City so much quieter than say New Plymouth . Tho has quite a Volume of Traffic through the Main street . . Has good pedestrian crossing in the Middle of town . . Plenty of food places and shops a Farming town too . I bought a Lamb Roast dinner from Broadway fast foods . They have Buffet with plenty of variety to choose from

    The staff at Ngati Ruanui Stratford Mountain House were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The beds were very comfortable and the spa bath relaxing. The location is great for accessing some lovely walks on Mount Taranaki, with a little stroll down through the bush to their great restaurant which serves quality food and wine. A clear view of the mountain from the lawn beside our unit was a bonus.

    Ideal to stay to climb Mt Taranaki from Stratford Plateau, it is very close. Very clean and comfortable accommodation with self contained facilities. The wifi was excellent, and we really really enjoyed the heated indoor pool in the rainy weather, and the paid spa session was a winner! Friendly managers, overall a great place to stay!!
