    Great Place to visit with heaps of motels resturants and stuff to do just dont stay at the Grandeur Thermal Spa Resort, down Spa road black mould spores in room on window trim & back of curtains plus window as well. The cleaners there do a crap job cleaning room had rubbish that was there from last people, dead animals bones in garden also needed to Air out rooms smelled mouldly like it had been closed up for some time plus had asthma attack at 3am not worth breathing in black mould spores because it could stuff up your breathing for life, really I would not recommed this motel even not worth the cheap rates if you book online, you could end up in hospital with beathing problems forever, there slackness for peoples health and well being for a profit is so wrong, they really doesn't deseve your money, and you may get a killer diease that will mess with your lungs and health forever, stay away :) safe travels :)

    I loved Taupo.

    I loved Taupo. So incredibly beautiful being able to walk around the lake, stay on the lake and eat on the waterfront. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Huka Falls Jet Boat and the thermal pools nearby. I so enjoyed Taupo.

    Taupo is a great place to visit. Huka Falls is a must. Shopping is excellent with a huge selection of restaurants and coffee bars. The lakeside is nice for sitting in the sun and there is plenty of activities along it, or one can just sit and watch. Taupo is suitable for all ages.

    I liked Taupo, friendly people in cafes and restaurants. Nice lake and plenty to see and do. We enjoyed our Jet ride and the Huka falls. Recommend stopping at the glass blowing cafe. Delicious Vanilla slice (custard slice).

    Peaceful and restful trip.

    Peaceful and restful trip. You can do as much as you want or as little. It always feels fresh and clean. I always leave refreshed. Lovely lakefront walk, good shopping and many excellent choices for coffee, brunches and dinner. A personal favourite is The Cozy Corner Cafe. Also highly recommend Cobb & Co, especially if traveling with small children.

    We were there for the McCartney football tournament and...

    We were there for the McCartney football tournament and turned out as a whole family holiday. Taupo in itself is awesome and we wished we were there to enjoy the place the whole time but we manage to visit place. The lakefront restaurants were equally great and struggled to choose. Everything was great especially the boat tour and scenery I.e. environment and geography (nature). Just awesome.

    We were cordially welcomed by the owners and given free choice of the available apartments. The view over the wonderful garden onto Lake Taupo was stunning, numerous wild birds inhabit the lovely place. Thanks to the detailed recommendations by the owners, we were able to make most of our stay, including a dip into the lake.

    The location is perfect, giving the option of using our vehicle or walking to town. Being able to walk out of the motel and the first visual you see is Lake Taupo. Private space and exceptional space in the motel.

    This was a great room, with spa and lake view. Breakfast on the balcony was a perfect way to start the day, and a cocktail watching the sun set a perfect way to end it. Will definitely stay there again if in Taupo
