Our room, the King suite was a beautiful example of Victorian luxury with all the decor, furnishings and bedding perfectly coordinated. It's large and comes with a large fully tiled private bathroom. Everything was clean to a high standard. I highly recommend a stay here if you want to experience something amazing.
Even the books thoughtfully placed around the room are 19th century.
And downstairs the Brac n Bow is a restaurant of exceptional quality.

Very good location for exploring Martinborough area. Lovely friendly experience with superb gourmet food - both breakfast and dinner. Very like being a welcome guest in somebody's home. The host, Rachel, very engaging and interesting - and a great source of information about the local food and wine scene. Lovely garden that also produced fresh organic ingredients for meals.
Wonderful views both day and night. The Dark Sky shows just how many stars there are.
There are lots of places to visit and wander around in nearby towns and vineyards.
There are a number of places to eat out or, if you prefer, cook at home. The kitchen is very well set up and, a must for me, yes the knives were sharp. YES.
Sandra, thank you for being the perfect host. There if and when we needed you but allowing us privacy. Perfect.
