Whitianga is a beautiful spot to visit during the summer months, but is also a great place during the quieter winter months. The Coromandel needs our business, so please visit and check out the local eateries and shops and visit the surrounding beaches etc for winter walks. We loved our family trip to Whitianga and wished we could stay longer. Thank you for having us Whitianga!

Small town with lots of character, cafes, restaurants, friendly locals always say hello. You can tell the difference between a local and a tourist. Visited Baptist Church service, lovely friendly people. Great safe swimming beach. Cafe and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend as a holiday destination. Great for fishing if you have a boat. Close to Cathedral Cove which is amazing to visit either by boat or if possible walk from the top. Eat at Irish pub, great pub food, friendly staff, great atmosphere, very busy place. Blue Lagoon Bar I also recommend, delicious food, fresh fish and helpful staff. The Fig for great coffee. Everything in walking distance and safe at night.

Whitianga is the perfect get away and you'll find something for everyone. Lots of great cafes and places to eat and drink.. It can be as quiet or as busy as you want it to be. Lots of activities on the water, or grab an e-bike or just explore on foot. Don't forget to book in at The Lost Springs and grab a day spa treatment while your there. and enjoy all that it has to offer. You'll be glad u did. There are also lots of accommodation options. Sad that theyve lost the title for best pies but you be the judge... still gold if u ask me you just need to get in quick. And check out The French Fig Cafe you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful coastal town, with plenty of cafes and restaurants. Lots to see and do in the area, plenty of walks and sightseeing opportunities. If you go to hot water beach make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy it. Go at low tide and get a local’s advice on where to dig. Shakespeare Cliff, Lonely Beach and Cooks Beach worth a visit.

Such a beautiful place. Gorgeous beaches and amazing views. The town is big enough to provide all the amenities without being too large to lose character. Wish we could have had more time to explore. I will definitely be back.

From $172 per nightStaff were amazing, super friendly & welcoming during our entire stay, they even gifted a nice bottle of wine for my mums birthday. The bed I slept in was absolute luxury for my spine injury, nice n firm mattress. Everything was spotless clean. Washing/Drying facilities were very handy. The heated pool and spa are awesome, espeically at night time. Nice view of the yatchs from our patio area, and a quick 5min stroll to the nearby restaurants n cafe's.
