Lovely cabins, very private, great views. Bed was incredibly comfortable and overall the room was impeccably clean. Staff were very friendly and the breakfasts and dinners were tasty home cooking. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa de Mario. The location is perfect, right on the hiking trail to Gocta waterfall, with a beautiful view of the falls from the property. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Mario is an exceptional host — he knows everything about the area and made us feel completely at home. He even made us a delicious homemade pizza with a purple corn crust — everything organic and full of flavor. We saw hummingbirds in the garden and many other beautiful birds around the property. It’s a great spot for bird lovers and nature lovers in general. If you’re coming to Cocachimba, don’t hesitate — Casa de Mario is the perfect place to stay!

The host Richard was incredibly friendly and supportive. He is engaged in the community, and lets you try local products. More, he shows me traditional activities like coffee making. He also really knowd the area and can help you plan a great day.
