United StatesThe Iberostar Selection Miraflores was a wonderfully comfortable place to spend time in Lima. The views to the shore were spectacular. The hotel is impeccably maintained, nicely appointed, and in a convenient (if touristy) location for walking. Daniel at the front desk was very helpful in getting us both checked in and out. Our arrival time in Lima put us at the hotel hours before the standard check in time, but they were kindly able to accommodate an early check in. We departed the city on a red-eye; again the front desk staff were kindly able to help us store our luggage for the entire day after we checked out. The in-hotel restaurants were great options for both food and drinks.

The place has an old vibe to it so it has a lot of cool features. Restaurants are upscale for a low price. There's a guy who cooks right by the door on a grill and food was amazing and well cooked. The staff are friendly and very helpful with any questions you may have. Is right next to everything, beaches, Miraflores, bus transportation and specially a food market where you can get your basic needs.

GuatemalaThis was one of the best hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had. The location, facilities, staff, and amenities are outstanding. The location is only a five-minute bike ride to the Pacific. The hotel provides two complimentary bicycles for guest reservation. The breakfast is from 7:00 AM -- 11:00 AM and has a huge selection of delicious and fresh food. The rooftop swimming pool, bar, and exercise room are great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in at 9:30 AM! The neighborhood is great too, with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel!

I visited the Larcomar mall in the Mirafloors area in the Lima city. It is very very beautiful area and a must visit. Besides I had my Lunch and Dinner at Myantra; an Indian restaurant with most delicious Indian cuisine. I love Lima and Cusco.

I enjoyed the city center.
I enjoyed the city center. It felt safe with many police in the area. I walked a few blocks away into what is perhaps a more typical part. This is where the central mercado is located. I also found this area to be safe. I only visited during the day.

This is a place that won't break your budget.
This is a place that won't break your budget. Gastronomic capital of the world but even the regular places have good food and are very inexpensive by American standards yet what you receive is so much better than you expect at home. Love having Pisco Sours. Lima Miraflores is very safe and clean. I walked everywhere and it is easily walkable, the sidewalks are in good condition which you don't find in a lot of South American cities (I am calling you out Bogota). There's a lot of culture and history here and of course there is much more to Peru than just Lima so explore. They also have a brand new and beautiful airport.
The downside to Lima, TRAFFIC! It takes an hour or more to get from the airport to Miraflores. They drive a bit crazy, I mean there are lines on the road but no one feels obligated to stay in their lane. Drivers are a bit aggressive, and walking across the street at an uncontrolled intersection can be a little traumatic. Uber works here and it is very reasonably priced and for the most part the drivers are good. Watch out for pirate taxis claiming to be Uber at the airport, they rip you off. They will charge you double or more. Only book an Uber through the app and don't use the fake taxi service at the airport. You can tell, because they are very aggressive to get you into their car.

Loved hotel SOUMA in Miraflores.
Loved hotel SOUMA in Miraflores. Lima is great food destination and we enjoyed different cuisines in a range of restaurants from downscale to upscale. Definitely recommend a guided walking tour of historic center and the MALI Museum.

Lima, Peru is a great place to visit!
Lima, Peru is a great place to visit! I stayed in Miraflores, this is an excellent area to stay when visiting Lima. There are lots of restaurants, shops, and areas to walk. The neighborhood is beautiful, the people are friendly, and it is safe area.
Getting around Miraflores is easy, I ate at different restaurants on the same block as the hotel that were around the corner, a 1-minute walk.
I experienced the history of Lima through a tour of the Monastery of San Francisco Lima and the Catacombs, and I walked around Plaza de Armas (the town square).
I also booked the all-day Paracas and Huacachina Sunset Picnic Tour, this included a Lima experience filled with activities such as go-cart driving in the desert, lunch at a vineyard & a tour of the wine facility, wine tasting, a horse show, a visit to Huacachina for a dune-buggy ride, sandboarding, and a sunset picnic. What a way to end your day! Great place to visit...I will be back!!

It is a very interesting city with lots of historical stuff...
It is a very interesting city with lots of historical stuff to see and learn from. Beware, the traffic is really bad (similar to Manila, Philippines in my experience) so manage your time carefully. They have Uber and easy to book and get around, with taxi you have to negotiate if not you could be ripped off. We took the Turibus hop-on hop-off, it was easy to get on from Larcomar mall, check the stops and timing as they do not go back to the same stop. Lots of good food and I love the purple corn drink (chicha morada), you don't want to miss this! If you have time, visit Larco Museum and dine there. The restaurant has a romatic vibe and the museum itself has too many interesting artifacts.

We were advised to stay in this area of Lima ( Miraflores) though distant from the centre and it proved to be a good choice as it the center of Lima is not very attractive
This neighbourhood is safe and vibrant , next to the sea with the nicest shops and restaurants.
This is a boutique hotel full of charm, we had a lovely stay! Only minus is that the room we got did not have blackout curtains.

Hotel well located in Miraflores, 5 minutes walk from ocean’s cliffs.
Hotel itself has no special decorations or atmosphere, but is clean and comfortable.
The staff, especially Christian was very helpful in arranging taxis to and from hotel with his private phone application, that was twice cheaper than an official taxi service i.e. from the airport.

Comfortable room and beautiful decoration. We had a little issue with hot water but frank was very quick to fix it. Nice hot shower with good pressure.
Frank, the host, was very helpful and has many written recommendations and map of lima. We felt welcomed. The hotel is very well situation to visit miraflores.
