Amantani
Inca lodge - Amantani is located 37 km from Puno Port in Amantani island. Featuring a restaurant, the property also has a terrace. Every room includes a balcony. Adolfo and Justa are the best hosts you could wish for. Adolfo showed us around the island and went out of his way to arrange our transport for the next day. Justa’s cooking is simply great. Both are very friendly. And their shower is hot!

Located in Ocosuyo, Amantani Lodge is located on the island of Amantani, incatiana community. All the rooms have balcony that overlooks the lake. The room was clean, there was hot water. Henry picked me up at the main port of the island and helped me walk up. He even joined me to visit the ruins. They were so friendly and it was a great experience in the life of locals and the family is really sweet. It’s so quiet and peaceful. His wife Mariluz walked me to the main port the next day. Muchas gracias Henry and Mariluz para todo y hasta el próximo. Un abrazo

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of lake, Amantani Pachatata Lodge is located in Amantani, 2.1 km from Amantani Island. Rooms are equipped with a balcony with a city view. Vidal and Sonia were great hosts! They picked us up at the port by motorbike, very nice trip around the island. The room has its own bathroom and toilet with hot water and they provide a heater for the night so we were not cold at all. They prepared lunch (quinoa soup and trout with rice and vegetables), diner (chicken with rice and vegetables) and breakfast (fried egg and pancakes) for 20 soles extra per meal per person which is extremely fair given that these were one of the best meals we had during our trip, home made by Sonia with fresh organic products.

A peaceful magical little island. Both preserved in time through ancient traditions, but also in the modern era with solar power, hot water, etc. Two days was the perfect amount of time, and having it at the end of our travels as time to unwind was perfect. Don't expect cell-reception or wifi (we didn't have any the whole time) and just become one with the nature around you.
Charming town on the east side of Amantani Island. We arrived by boat from Uros Islands, left at 9am and arrived around 1pm. The cost (2018) was 50 sole per person in collective Boat Taxi, which included the pick-up the next day at 8am for the return trip to Puno, with a 2h30min stop through Taquile Island. We stayed at Amantani Titicaca Lodge, a very recommended address. The host Oswaldo indicated to us a small trail in Ocosuyo which leads up to the two main mountains worshiped by the local communities: Pachamama (4,150m) and Pachatata (4,040m). It took about 1h20min to get up, which was very much worth it for the panoramic view on Amantani Island. I would recommend anyone to stay on Amantani to experience local village life on Titicaca Lake. A big plus to stay on this side of the Island is to watch the sunrise on the Titicaca Lake horizon, meddling with the Cordillera Real on Bolivian side. This was mixed with a wonderful starry night, a touch of magic added to our stay!
