Great location at the quiet end of Chicama overlooking the beach. Nice, clean, spacious rooms. Junior was very responsive and helpful. Overall a great stay! Highly recommend!

The host Jesus is very attentive and accommodating. He will literally help you with whatever you need. He cleaned religiously every day. The room and kitchen were spotless. He also helped me feel welcomed and appreciated. He showed me around town to the markets and the surf shops. He even gave me recommendations on when and where to surf. There is a place to store your board and a little shop with some essentials. His mother and sister are also very friendly and welcoming and the three of them live on the lower floors. The fourth floor is yet to be constructed and has a wonderful view and is a great place to workout, sun bathe, or hang dry clothes and wet suits.

I highly recommend La Ola Azul for a trip to Chicama. The room was nice and is an excellent value for the price. The private bathroom and balcony was nice. There was plenty of places to store surf gear and luggage. The place is only a block from the beach road, which made it a bit quieter but it's still equally as accessible, as it's only a 30 second walk from the door to the boardwalk. Carlita was the absolute best host and made sure that everything was perfect for the stay. She helped with recommending any local services I needed. She even went out of her way to help when I lost a tool for my gear and helped get a replacement for the rest of my trip. My stay gets a 10/10 but Carlita's hospitality would get a 15/10.
