Tacna is a big city but not touristy only few touristic places that different with other more interesting places in Peru. Geothermal-related tourism maybe is one that made Tacna is different with other more beautiful places in Peru. oh i forgot, its History also interesting especialy with the relations with Chile and Bolivia

I was expecting a charming Latin American city.
I was expecting a charming Latin American city. Instead we found a poor copy of Las Vegas with the emphasis on gambling in Casinos. Crossing the border from Chile to Peru was a nightmare standing in line in the sun for over an hour. We had to return to Chile mid-trip for a day and decided not to cross the border 3 more times so remained in Chile.

This is lovely border town in Sourhern Peru.
This is lovely border town in Sourhern Peru. Very famous for historical reasons and for the interest archeological points. If one is for shopping clothes and other goods will no be disappointed in Tacna. We enjoyed the courtesy of people, well mannered and lovely facilities for tourists.
