Royal Tahitien is located on Tahiti’s eastern coast, along the lovely lagoon which faces the Island of Moorea. This was a perfect place to start out our Tahiti experience. The room was clean and bright, a great view from our balcony - with the all glass for that wall. There were beautiful flowers all over the room and it was very welcoming.
Offering free WiFi and mountain views, Iaora Nani Residences is an accommodation set in Papeete at 15-minute walk from Papeete Ferry Terminal and Papeete market place. Valerie was such a lovely host! I really recommend her and also her tahiti island tour, it was an amazing experience.
Conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the Papeete ferry wharf, Fare Suisse provides an excellent base for visitors of Tahiti. Airport pickup and departure drive to the pier. Wonderful check-in by Therese. Everything explained and room available at 7am and drop back for coffee! Everything was spotless and delightfully outdoor covered breakfast area with service! Great bed!
Conveniently located just 300 metres from central Papeete and the waterfront, Studio Centre offers air-conditioned studios with a balcony, a kitchenette and a flat-screen TV. Really comfy bed. Spacious studio. Nice balcony. The rooftop pool view is quite nice and a good thing to have on a hot day. Well equipped kitchen.
Situated in Papeete, 2.8 km from Paofai Gardens and 4 km from Papeete Ferry Terminal, Chez Amy et Yaya - Terrasses de l'Océan offers a terrace and air conditioning. Amelia was super proactive, she picked us up from the airport and brought us to the apartment. The apartment is very clean, well stocked with everything you need and has a very nice terrace and view. Amelia provides a nice complimentary breakfast.
Everyone we met were very friendly and wished us “a good day “. We ate ate the Bora Bora lounge. 5 minute walk from Tahiti nui hotel. Very cold beer. Excellent food and friendly staff. We hired a car from eco cars. They delivered to the hotel and picked up the vehicle. We drove around the island. Beautiful scenery and plenty of spots for a swim
Papeete is a city with lots to do and a lovely parkway along the waterfront to walk and sit in the shade and watch the boats go by. It was just a stepping stone for me as was going to board a sailing ship the next morning.
Nothing actually there. Everything is expensive so if you travel from Europe just don't do it or go to other cities (or even islands). It isn't like all the Island is extreme ugly but almost everyone on this planet can find something better which is nearer. I know, only international airport in French Polynesia and you need to spent few hours here. Take a walk and see local street art or eat something from food truck on the promenade.
Interesting city, I liked the promenades and the parks along the bay. The Papeete market is interesting too, I spent a lot of time there, enjoying the fast food shops and the mesmerizing array of Tahitian pearls, and local fruits and vegetables. The evening food trucks or Roulottes are also a good idea for dining al fresco at the park near the pier. My other free time was spent on Vaiava Beach on PK 18, south of Papeete, glorious beach! Take a local bus, costs only 250 xpf one way.
Papeete is very dirty and it stinks. The painted Murals on many buildings are hideous, frightening and does NOTHING to beautify the city. The buses are THIRD world and passengers do not know when they are arriving. We were told many different places to catch the bus nd it wasn't until a kind lady took us to the bus stop. BUS information is impossible to get. Papeete is CLOSED on Sunday and tourists do not know where they can eat. We were there when it was raining and the streets were flooding and filthy because none of the DRAINS were operating properly. Food prices were TOO high. The food choices were very bad. Thank goodness we went to Mo'orea..... we would have been very sad to have to stay in Papeete for more tgan two days..... really awful.
Papeete is busy and it’s main waterfront area is run down. A lot of buildings are run down and dusty. Their food trucks on Saturday and Sunday are great on the waterfront. And the Dunday market. Those are the highlights of our 24 hours there. I wouldn’t recommend Papeete as a place that is a tropical paradise to relax on. You go to the other islands for that.
A fantastic property for your stay in Tahiti. It has everything in it you need for a stop on the island and Val is an excellent host. Pick up and drop off at the airport is included in the price and if Val is able to she will give you an early check in or late check out if you ask and the apartment is available. This is obviously dependant on if she has other guests booked to stay. If you are there for a few days see if she can provide you with a guided trip around the island, it is a really good day out.
Host “Natalie” was a fantastic communicator prior to my arrival, she spoke great English, picked me up at the airport and made sure everything was very comfortable for me at her property. Everything was very clean and tidy. My flight left at 6:00 am the next morning, so Natalie arranged for a taxi. I was extremely happy with this property, the host, the value for my money and for the host’s welcoming attitude and assistance. I highly recommend it and will definitely return if I find myself in Papeete again
Very comfortable and super clean room in this lovely lodge. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful throughout the whole stay, even provided us with some refreshments on arrival, although it was way before check-in time. Our host has given us plenty of good information on Papeete and on Mo'orea where we were heading next. The lodge is a bit outside central Papeete but the hosts helped us with the transfer to town and to the ferry.
Excellent option for a stay in town. Close to everything and far better equipped and more flexible than nearby hotel. The rooftop pool has an awesome view and likely you will have it all to yourself. The large balcony is great for breakfast and evening drinks (nearby supermarket has excellent provisions, even closer patisserie is deservedly renowned...) Everything you need and more is provided. Emmanuel is a great host.
The owners were super friendly, super helpful, pleasant and flexible. They picked us up at the airport super late at night even though we mixed up the dates, and they were able to accommodate us too (so kind, thank you, guys!). The kitchen was great too, the aircon was godsent and the location was fantastic! There was a washing machine in the apartment too (and a dryer!). Really great value for money for Papeete.
Immaculately clean and a well equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful owner who ordered us a taxi for the airport. Beautiful terrace where you can enjoy a lush view. Comfortable bed and incredible shower much needed after a long international flight. Home had excellent wifi and lots of travel brochures. A few minutes to a supermarket and about 10 minutes to the heart of Papeete (Notre dame/ market).
A really convenient place to stay for a brief stop off in Papeete. We had a simple but comfortable room and delicious breakfast, and our host was so friendly and helpful. The transfer to and from the accommodation was really easy too. Would definitely recommend!
Tahiti Pearl is a beautiful resort located right on a black sand beach. We were fortunate enough to be there on a night that they have their cultural show, which was excellent, in the bar area. The restaurant food was excellent and the pool area was amazing.
Emmanuel arranged Taxi to pick us up from airport and waited for us at the apartment. He’s very nice and helpful. The apartment is spacious, fully equipped. Clean and tidy. Location is the best. Located in the centre, close to everywhere. Will stay again.
The apartment has a good view of the bay. It has a private parking, security, near the principal road, great facilities inside with full kitchen. Samantha was so nice and welcoming. We had a rental car which was excellent for moving around Papeete.
Not too far from the airport and In walking distance to the ferry terminal so convenient for our trip and we only needed a place to sleep for a few hours. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was good.
Close to city center, friendly staff, and very clean. Papeete wasn’t amazing but we found the Tahiti Nui a very good hotel for the value. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shops.
Our host Léa was absolutely wonderful and was really helpful. Great little place to stay and the room has pretty little features. We chose to go for the airport shuttle - such a lovely welcome!
Great location in downtown Papeete- Super clean! Very modern and spacious studio. Owner was extremely pleasant!!! Great value and better than any 3 or 4 star hotel in the area.
Good location, reliable pickup service from airport. Nice rooftop swimming pool.
Fabulous Tahitian experience, food was excellent. Nice place to relax
good stop to get to the airport. free shuttle
Nice view, modern setting, infinity pool, convenient scooter rent to see Papeete and surrounding, owner kind to give explanations how to go
I have never had a landlord so nice. The best ever. Thanks
