Boracay is a small but beautiful and relaxing island.
Boracay is a small but beautiful and relaxing island. It is only an hour flight from Manila (followed by a quick transfer by bus and boat to the island itself). Although small, it offers a huge number of restaurants and hotels at a reasonable price. The beaches are pristine, lined with coconut trees and with crystal clear water. An ideal location for a few relaxing days during a trip to the Philippines. Even though I visited during rainy season, the weather was warm and sunny, with clear skies.

It's different from what it used to be 10 years ago. A bit disappointed especially after seeing all the establishments around. The Boracay failed to protect its natural resources. It's become very commercial and too expensive plus too crowded. The front beach are not impressive and very disappointing too. I was also expecting a complimentary ride from the resort but found out that it's no longer available so we have to spend a significant amount of money for a transfer back and forth. But the good thing is fairways have a nice beach and a selection of swimming pools. To sum it all up, for me, it's not worth it to visit Boracay anymore. I'm in love with this place.
I'm in love with this place. I've never seen such a beautiful scenery before. Not only are the landscapes and beaches incredibly beautiful, the people are so so nice. Literally every Filipino was nice and respectful to us. They do try to sell you a lot of excursions and stuff but it's their job and they're really respectful when doing it. We did Island hoping, wich was incredible. You see many different beaches and can do scuba diving, snorkeling or helmet diving. A must!María Victoria - Scored 8.08.0

Lots of tourist. I highly recommend going to Puka Beach and the Grotto in Station 1. Station 2 is where the shopping and water activities offered. I would recommend you to research restaurants in advance so you know the price range already. I recommend Pamana Restaurant if you want to try good Filipino food. Transport is via E-Tricycle to go to places in Boracay. Fare rate is normally 150-250 usually depending on how far or near the place of destination. Very convenient if you book transport from airport to hotel and vice versa. Avoid grabbing activities ahead for water sports so you can compare prices.

Depending on where you're staying, there's the "party vibe" and the rest & relax locations. We love to walk at the beach, watch the sunset and the sailboats.
