Casa Aguelo exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Its location is literally minutes from the main official tourist Chocolate Hills viewing complex, and in a quiet jungle setting. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The room was comfortable with all basic amenities. We were particularly taken with the outdoor covered deck/balcony which was nicely designed and furnished, as is the whole house! By choice we had all our meals (excellent food) served on the deck, which is very relaxing by day or by night, when the mood lighting is turned on. Casa Aguelo ticks all the boxes!

The breakfast was the best. They really made an effort on the presentation, and they really catered to our preferences on our food. Also, the staff are really great especially the one who received us. She was very welcoming and full of energy, and very polite. As for the room, i like how it has a big space and the bed is very comfortable to sleep in. The ambience outside the room is also calming and very nice.

Very good cooking done by owner. Room was very nice and also the toilet. There was even a bath in my room. Which is unusual in philipines :D ALso owner is very nice and nice to talk person. He also recomneded me some tourist atracions in nearby to Villa.

Instead of a quick jump at Bohol we stayed over night. We could not select better place for our stay! Great owner that gave us a lot od tips! Amazing breakfast!

Absolutely fabulous place, I loved the open air setting for the dorm and common area. Everyone was so nice here, and it's a great spot to meet people and really explore Bohol. Family dinners were delicious! One of the best hostels I've stayed at in 8 months of travel, thank you Rene :)
