FAQs about hotels in Manila

The City of Our Affections

With a rich mix of influences from Indian, Chinese, Spanish and American cultures, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic center. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonization, Manila became an important city, known as the "Pearl of the Orient."

Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.

Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila “The City of Our Affections,” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.

Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.

For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City.

The people of the Philippines are the biggest reason to visit Manila. Fun-loving and kind, they make everyday transactions memorable. Manila is an especially vibrant city. Great restsurants in Greenbelt and Glorieta as well as in Bonafacio.

This will seem petty but I’m from the USA, what establishments consider to be a table napkin is nothing more than a cocktail napkin and quite often less. The foods were very good, Sunrises were a visual blessing!

"My check-in experience at Lucky Cat Staycation was extremely disappointing. The Luckycat management tested my patience to the limit—they were unresponsive to emails and kept us waiting for nearly 4 hours at the front desk. We felt dizzy and hungry, yet no one helped. We looked like fools in the lobby. If you want the same stress, book here. Don’t trust their Booking.com ‘award’—it’s from 2017! I will never booked again in Booking. Com because my booking from Azure Staycation is also fake. Booking.com should remove dishonest owners like this. It’s a waste of time, money, and energy.

I personal liked the place very much.

I personal liked the place very much. For the price it is the best . I stayed in other hotels but this one takes the cake. Laundry service offered. Subway, McDonalds, mang inasal , banks atm, Lawsons all in walking distance. 7 eleven is located in the same building as the hotel. Staff was great. Always took care of me at a moments notice. The guards were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay here if I’m in Manila again. The wifi was very good. The hot water in the sink and shower was excellent.

Manila is great, the people are hospitable and the places I visited did not even seem like I was in a 3rd world country. BGC, Makati and Poblacion to name a few. Of course, just like any other country there are some rough parts out there, but the people here are just so happy with so little.

The business aspect of the trip was well met and the place where our visitor stayed complimented much to the stay since it was very accessible to all forms of land transportation. And getting around most specially to the Business Districts were excellent as grab and inDrive were very visible in every place.

This time my room was very quiet not close to the bridge as I was on the upper floor. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great. I really appreciate that I could leave my suitcase while I travelled to a different country. This option I really appreciate. The hotel is very close to the airport that’s why I always chose this hotel every time I’m in Manila.

If you are staying in the hotel for any reason, you should go for dinner and have breakfast. It was the best breakfast I had in my life in the hotel, and I travelled to many hotels already. The food is quite expensive but can ask for an offer and always gives you a very attractive deal. From the reviews, it is one of the best hotels in Manila

The hotel is clean and tidy with a Starbucks on the ground floor. Although very close to the red light zone of Manila, the location is great - just a ±15-minute ride from Makati, the Baywalk, Santiago Fort, and SM Mall of Asia. The staff is always helpful and you have a nice gym and co-working space. The WiFi was good.

I was so impressed with all areas of your beautiful hotel but for me what made it exceptional was the customer service; people make places and all your staff from the room service to the concierge were outstanding. Thank you, I will go back to The Peninsula when I'm next in Manila - you have a new loyal customer.
