GermanyThe view is among one of the bests even better than Shangrilla resort. But what tops the view is the people. The owner is a super kind guy and makes you feel at home. It was supposed to be a random hotel stay but we left with a homely feeling. We definitely received more value than we paid for. Any problem we had was resolved on a moments notice, be it hotel related or even anything non hotel related like getting a sim etc.

The service was outstanding, thanks to the cooperative and humble staff, particularly Husnain He is a professional and down to earth person I really like his way of delivering, The way he talks shows that he is well educated and knows about the hotel management. However, the true highlight was the owner, Haji Hussain, who went above and beyond. He not only provided excellent hospitality but also offered a car service (Rent a car Skardu), taking us to hidden gems in Skardu that weren't even part of our package. His kindness, humility, and generosity truly made our experience unforgettable. Skardu, with its breathtaking beauty and peaceful atmosphere, is a destination that left a lasting impression on us 💕💕

Skardu is truly a breathtaking destination—surrounded by majestic mountains and crystal-clear lakes, it’s a paradise for nature lovers. Our favorite spots were Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake, and Shigar Fort, each offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. We enjoyed dining at local spots like Cafe de North and a few roadside dhabas that served delicious traditional Balti food. Getting around Skardu was relatively easy with local drivers and jeeps available, though road conditions can vary, so plan ahead. For groups of friends, Skardu offers amazing activities like boating at Kachura Lake, hiking to Manthoka Waterfall, and exploring ancient forts. The best part of our trip was the peaceful mountain vibe and the warmth of the local people. However, network signals and internet can be patchy, and it’s best to carry cash as many places don’t accept cards.
