During my recent stay at this hotel in Gdańsk, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the amenities, particularly the pool and restaurant, which exceeded expectations for a four-star property. The pool was a highlight of my stay—warm, impeccably clean, and truly up to five-star standards. Whether for relaxation or a refreshing swim, it offered a luxurious experience rarely found at this price point. The restaurant also impressed me with its delicious and healthy food options. Each dish was well-balanced, flavorful, and made from high-quality ingredients, making it easy to indulge while still feeling good about my choices. Overall, this hotel offers top-tier comfort and quality at a more affordable price, making it a fantastic choice for those looking for a touch of luxury in Gdańsk without overspending. Highly recommended!

FAQs about hotels in Gdańsk

Charming Architecture And a Breath of History

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything from fascinating history and great architecture to a friendly atmosphere!

Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down Communist rule in Poland, initiating the end of the Cold War era.

Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the city's near-complete destruction during World War II. You can admire the colorful townhouses of the Old Town by boat on the Motlawa River or by strolling down the popular Long Street and Long Market.

While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com has a variety of accommodations near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city center.

Gdank is great for eating out (restaurants) and shopping. The quality of food is fantastic. Great cafes with good coffee (at least compared to Swedish coffee and Swedish cafes). Nice beaches, but can be overcrowded at times. Traffic is terrible though and there are often traffic jams. Also, the locals drive too fast and not careful enough at times...

Great place - had been to other places in Poland several times such as Krakow and rated it just as highly if not more. Local bolt and trains very cheap and good to use to get to nearby Gdynia and Sopot and booked in advance a cheap train to Warsaw to explore. Great sight seeing and restaurants along the river plus in the town. Also the War and Solidarnosc museums were well worth a visit along with the pirate ship past the dockyards at sunset.

Great place to visit for a 4 day weekend to include Sopot and Gdynia. Plenty of great restaurants in each location, we ate at Pueblo which was great for Tex Mex Food and also Mama Indii for Indian on one of the evenings. Food Prices are considerably cheaper than the UK Very easy to get around by Train and Ticket Machines do have English Language options. Downside, The Passport Control should be more friendly and welcoming. As a visitor I felt like I was going through the Spanish Inquisition for a 4 day weekend... Staff Attitude should be a focus point.

The city is a wealth of history, and I'm not normally into all that, but it was very interesting. I recommend doing the walking tour by Walkative. We had a lady nicknamed Dynamite and it was fantastic! It is full of cute little shops and lots of interesting picturesque places. I found the Polish people to welcoming and friendly and will definitely go back. We ate at several places, some cheap, some not so much. Wine Bar (and restaurant) Literacka was incredible. Not cheap, but well worth it. Mojito Cafe on the main strip had amazing food too, and huge portions, for a very reasonable price. Getting around is easy on foot as it is not that large, and 3-4 days is enough to see all you need to see, unless you want to go museum crazy. If there's a good sunset opportunity, go to the SASSY Roof Top Cocktail bar. They have an upper deck (I had to ask to go up), and it is truly spectacular.

The main town is great but with a lot of tourists. Residential areas further away are very attractive to escape the crowds. There are a lot of interesting museums which I did not have time to visit this time. Made a boat trip from the quayside of Mottlau to Sopot. The boat went through the harbour and passed Westerplatte.

The hotel is located in the old town of Gdansk and easy to walk into the old center and other sites. A carousel and Gdansk wheel is nearby. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds with enough space. Nothing fancy about the place. Breakfast was good and nothing special. Worth the money we spent. Pizzas we ordered from the restaurant were delicious.
