Our main reason for choosing Jelenia Góra was the parkrun which takes place in Park Norweski - the team there was very welcoming. We also enjoyed visiting Chojnik Castle and Perla Zachodu restaurant. This city is the capital city of the district, which in itself has less relevant attractions. We traveled great distances every day to places within a radius of about 75 km from her. The old town is nice but not something you don't see in many other cities in Poland. And certainly not the most attractive. We really enjoyed our accommodation which was very pleasant and comfortable, we enjoyed the best and cheap restaurants in the city. Jelenia goes is a nice small city. If you want a nice quiet place to spend time with your spouse and or family it is perfect. Swim at the city pool. Go to see time gates it's a crazy history lesson that is fun. Walk in the old town and enjoy reasonably priced meals, drinks, and deserts. Biking and hiking trails and parks nearby. We speak English and German. It was not as easy to get by as the bigger cities but way less money. Probably not a good place to come party. I didn't see many clubs. It is situated in the suburbs of Jelenia Góra, but despite "a bit scary" view of the house from the outside we really liked the comfort, cleanliness and warmness of the flat inside. The flat had everything we needed, there was free parking outside and the view from the bedroom and kitchen on the garden outside was really lovely.
