Krakow is a beautiful city and we will certainly return. Transport is plentiful and inexpensive, plenty of Ubers too. We packed in a lot in our 4 day stay, Auschwitz/Birkenau was amazing but we felt like we were rushed through it very quickly as there were other groups hard on our heels. The Salt Mines were also fabulous and well worth the visit. We ate fabulous street food and went to local restaurants which were very tasty and a fraction of British prices. I absolutely love Kraków – it’s an incredible city. It has everything you’d expect from a major city, but without the overwhelming chaos of places like London or other large Western cities. You can feel the legacy of Bona Sforza and see traces of the Habsburg influence. As the historic capital of Polish kings and the heart of Poland, Kraków offers an authentic experience — from traditional Polish cuisine to Wawel Castle, world-class museums, art, and rich cultural heritage.
