Severely destroyed in 1945, Wroclaw was beautifully restored and became one of the country’s highlights. Its Old Town, with one of the largest town squares in Europe, attracts tourists with colorful townhouses, cozy pubs and street stalls.
Make sure to visit the Ostrow Tumski, known also as the Cathedral Island, featuring the impressive Wroclaw Cathedral from the mid-10th century and romantic cobblestone streets with oil lamps hand-lit every night. A beautiful city, many attractions to visit, great atmosphere. We felt very safe and the locals mostly spoke / understood english! We were there 8 days, after 4 we'd done everything we could imagine, saw practically everything. So 4-5 days is a max for this city unless you've a car! Great museums, churches, places to eat and plenty of night life too!

So much to do and so much to see in the old town.
So much to do and so much to see in the old town. Lovely atmosphere and some fabulous eateries including vegan, Italian and Thai as well as Polish food. We spent ages just walking the streets and by the river, it's so full of character, took the climb up the tower which is well worth it for the view, went round the university museum (fabulous) and to Cathedrl Island. In total we had a full three days which felt just right as we were on foot with no transport.
The tram is really good value and the trip to the Centennial Hall well worth it for the water display (on the hour in the evening) and the Japanese Gardens if you need some space and quiet.

We explored a lot of the city.. We did a city spy tour, which was so much fun and made you move around the city to see a lot of the sites. If you go out of the square there is a lot more to see and it is a lot cheaper for food and drinks. Definitly recommend the place but I would give at least 3 days to see everything and not rush things

I was with 2 friends, one of who had been before, so she knew a bit about the place and booked a few trips/walking tour for us.
The city centre of Wroclaw is lovely and look out for the 'famous' dwarfs, which are everywhere. Loads of restaurants with lots of choice of food. Our favourite was next door to The Hard rock cafe, where you get traditional Pergonis, cant remember the name of it...Yes, there's even a McDonald's!...Also if you want another traditional food place, you must try the Milk Bars, there is two in the Market Hall, as you go in the main entrance, on the right, the food is lovely, good choice and really cheap. Lots of locals eat there, we had our first meal there and very impressed. Check out the ice cream shops too , lovely flavours and very cheap. Lots of cake shops for the sweet toothed traveller, try the Chimney cake shop for something different.
It's easy to get around the town and if you want to go further, there are trams or buses on the main streets.

The hotel staff was very helpful, friendly, and spoke excellent English. They helped us arrange a taxi for our very early flights home. The hotel was what we needed for our last couple nights in Poland. It was clean, secure, comfortable and not far from the airport. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had nice water pressure. There is also a grocery store across the street.
This is the 2nd time ive stayed here. Location is very easy to link with local transport and is a short walk to the town centre. Hotel itself is very clean and welcoming whilst providing everything I needed for both visits. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation although I will be looking at different parts of Poland on next trips.
Beautiful hotel, luxury rooms.Loved the bathroom and electric windows and curtains. Very comfortable stay and everything catered for. Very conveniently located to all local sights, Old Town and train station. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the glass of sparkling wine on arrival was a nice touch. Great value 5 star hotel.
I loved everything about this hotel. The location is so spectacular and it's close to the old town. The service was super kind and the room was very spacious, perfectly furnished from beauty of it to functionality. And the bed is unbelievably comfortable! I will definitely be looking to come back here!
Our choice when traveling through Poland by car. There is secure parking, they welcome dogs (50 pln), the hotel is walking distance from historical centre which makes it easy for a quick sightseeing. Lovely!
