Zakopane is a perfect place to stay before your mountain trips. You have plenty of places to spend a night in, to eat, and to buy what's needed. It is the core center of the transport connection to smaller villages/nature locations as well.
Don't stay only in Zakopane though! Go and see the natural beauty around you. Zakopane is a "port" to me, not the destination.

I love it the!
I love it the! Ideally located for mountain lovers wanting different levels of engagement:) It’s good for the beginners in hiking or people that just want to walk a bit and otherwise chill in in the thermal baths or use cable cars to access the peaks. Zakopane it’s fantastic for those that like skiing, winter sports but also proper hiking, mountaineering or trail running. The routes are very well marked and there is a phone reception almost everywhere in the national park. The city itself offers really good connections to the starting points of all the routes, buses are plenty, many options and reasonably priced. Shops are open very early and stay open until 23 which is very useful. You can get there both by bus, train or a car. There are plenty spots to rent bikes and cycling routes are also well marked.
I love it!
Maybe what could be improved would be a centralised information for tourists that could be easily accessible. One can find all the information When searching for it but for the lazy souls it would be helpful to have it all in one place :)

When I go to a mountain resort at the end of February, I expect to see white. It was green. This was just a recce for skiing next year. I won't return here to ski. And walking up Kasprowy Wierch was a nice day, but the slush underfoot says that it's a no go ski area. Beautiful town. Not for skiing.
The property has excellent facilities, including a decent small gym and a very comprehensive spa area, with swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzis. The breakfast choice is also extremely wide, so there is something for everyone. The location of the hotel is very good - just a two-minute walk from Krupowki and all the shops and restaurants. Also, the current temporary bus station in Zakopane is only a five-minute walk from the hotel, so getting to the mountains for trekking is easy. The atmosphere in the hotel is always relaxing and restful.
Stylish hotel nestled amidst the stunning Tatry mountains, not far from Zakopane. Both the rooms and outdoor spaces radiate elegance. The breakfast was great, especially the coffee. A standout moment of our stay was the exceptional service from the staff. They went the extra mile, assisting me in orchestrating a romantic room surprise for our wedding anniversary. My wife was genuinely delighted, and their thoughtful touch made our celebration all the more special. Highly recommended for those seeking a memorable stay!
This hotel was AMAZING! my partner and I stayed here for our Christmas trip in zakopane , the hotel was decorated so beautifully for Christmas, food was great, shout-out to the young man with dark hair (unsure of name) who checked us in when we arrived a few hours earlier than check in time , he was so friendly and welcoming and went out of his way to make us comfortable. good location only 10 minute walk to Krupowki street ,would definitely recommend and can’t wait to stay again ! :)
we have 3 rooms 102 , 110 little bit small the third room 112 is very large , the women in breakfast buffet very welcoming and very helpful she help us with identifying the types of food and what suitable for us , also the women in the reception always greet us also the old man who help us to carrying the luggage is very kind and cheerful probably all the staff are helpful and welcoming:) , love the experience and sure i will reserve this hotel every time i visit zakopane
We have stayed here quite a few times and are always satisfied with the experience. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The parking is free, easy, and there's always lots of space available close to the hotel entrance, which is important for us. There's lots of variety at breakfast. Also, we enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. This hotel is always our first choice when staying in Zakopane.
We had the pleasure to spend three days in the Aperthotel Cristina.
I can fully recommend the hotel. location is very convenient (just a two min walk from Krupowki street), staff was very nice and kind, the two restaurants in and under the hotel are among the top restaurants in Zakopane, wellness nice and cozy with a nice view and on top of that we had a beautiful apartment.
It's a lovely hotel,my single room under the roof was like a fairy tale room, so cozy and comfortable, full of nice details. It was amazing that in such a small room there was a small table with a tiny armchair, a fridge,a microwave, a toilet with a comfortable shower, a television and a wardrobe.
In addition the sauna and jacuzzi were so nice and enjoyable after the skiing.
- Large restaurant for breakfast, plenty of tables (option for sofa as well). Wide variety of things, fresh and tasty.
- Great hotel style, spacious facilities (lobby, room, welness...).
- Friendly, detailed oriented and professional staff.
- Perfect location, not only for bus & train, but to city center by feet.
The hotel has lots of facilities. Very well designed hotel. Spacious room (we had a Studio with kitchenette room). Very Good breakfast and buffet dinner offering. Everything worked very well. Very comfortable feel to the hotel. Good location for walking to National park and not far from Zakopane centre.
The staff was sooo kind and helpful, helped me book a ski lesson and drove me to the ski school! The geographical location is amazing, near the main Street but in a quiet area, near the buses station, the breakfast was great, the hotel very cute, I will definitely come back here if I go to Zakopane
Great little house for a family trip, close to several skiing slopes, supermarkets and shopping places. There is plenty of space for 4 or 5 people: spacious living room area, kitchen equipped with all you need and dining area. The hosts were also nice and helpful. Definitely recommend the place!
Great hotel up on little hill near edge of Zakopane. Nice staff, lovely room, really nice breakfast and spa. 15-20min walk into town through nice big park and also handy for buses to national park etc. Highly recommend.
Perfect place in the vicinity of Zakopane! Rooms were clean, beds - very comfortable. Food in restaurant is great! The hotel design is absolutely stunning! Wi-Fi was with good range and speed!
Beautiful hotel with a very central location! The staff was also super helpful and provided suggestions when needed. Great value for money would definitely recommend when visiting Zakopane!
Comfy hotel with a great spa zone (jacuzzi, two saunas). Nice breakfast with a good selection of local products. Location close to the centre of Zakopane, but in a quiet area.
Location is perfect for hiking and skiing via Kuźnice. Access by car exists. No smog on foggy days as it's above main Zakopane. Large enough for a large family.
