Jericho was beautiful. Wadi kelt striking. St. George and mount of Temptation monasteries beautiful. Ancient Jericho ruins well preserved and interesting.

This was an oasis within Jericho (which is sadly polluted with trash). I was treated like family ... so important as an older female solo traveler, and they were most helpful in getting me taxis and understanding how to get around. Very kind staff, good food (some from their garden and fresh chicken eggs!). The chickens don't like anyone, sadly!
