I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality of the host was outstanding. They provided all the necessary information about the area and were always available to help, making me feel truly taken care of throughout my stay. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the harbor, beach, and main square, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is very new and impeccably clean, with full amenities including an elevator. I particularly enjoyed the common library, perfect for some quiet reading or work, and the charming small garden. Everything in the hotel was in perfect working order.

This is a lovely hotel. Modern yet has a vintage feel in the main building. Spa like facilities . Great breakfast , wonderful staff. Fabulous value. “Run don’t walk” to book this hotel. I will be recommending this to anyone I know who travels to Terciera

Excellent gem in the old city center of Angra. Newly opened hotel in old historic building with modern amenities. The king bed, air conditioning, staff and all the extras made this a perfect refuge while still being in middle of Azores island of Terceira. The only downside is the street itself is on a very typical narrow European street which makes driving and parking challenging. The hotel is close to opening their own parking lot but taxi is definitely the way to go. Hands down one of the nicest boutique hotels on the island.

I had a great view of the beautiful garden and enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds singing. Breakfast was very good, served in a room with a nice view and plenty of natural light. The room was spacious, above the usual standard, and had a pleasant balcony.

    This is a historic town with interesting architecture, cute stores, good restaurants and a beautiful park area where (out on the point) where you can walk. We thought it had a lot more interest than towns on San Miquel island.

    If you like a garden, a museum, a church, a fort or two etc...

    If you like a garden, a museum, a church, a fort or two etc sight seeing then spend a whole day in and around Angra town. Recommend walk round Monte Brasil close by its very interesting we took half a day walking it. Forget hiring a scooter to see the island we hired a car and spend a full long day driving clockwise round island exploring viewpoints, cave, cheese farm, wine museum, highest volcano mountain etc. Unique island cultural discoveries we made were were seeing cheerfully painted little holy trinity espirito house in every village and watch out for 'Tourada a corda' (bullfight by rope) runs test of manhood - this is big on Terceira. Charming unspoilt little island well worth visiting.

    Xhale Hotel is a fabulous boutique hotel on the water just 20 minutes from the airport. Room was spacious and modern. Oh! That shower. Breakfast was delicious and the underground spa was marvelous. Owners and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our stay was absolutely wonderful.. Michael and Janis R.

    There is sooo much to see and do here, and the people, the views, the choices of restaurants, were A+++++. I Wish I could've stayed longer. I HEART/LOVE THE AZORES!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL and I Love the History and the Agriculture here.

    Angra do Heroísmo is one of the most beautiful and peaceful...

    Angra do Heroísmo is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been. It is a great place to visit if you enjoy the outdoors, and the views of the ocean and volcanic rock formations are truly unforgettable. I really enjoyed Monte Brasil and I walked EVERYWHERE! There are great museums and churches to visit, and the botanical garden there is so pretty and restful. It is also a great place to visit if you have to budget a bit, as it is really reasonable, and all the restaurants serve delicious food and wine. Angra is extremely clean and there are nice shops and welcoming cafes as well. Everyone that I have met in Angra is so kind and helpful. It has captured my heart and I will continue to visit!

    A compact city that is classified as a World Heritage.

    A compact city that is classified as a World Heritage. It was rebuilt after the 1980 earthquake. It is a city that played a big role in the world history (visited by Colombo and Vasco da Gama) and in the Atlantic Ocean sea routes, Many times attacked by pirates (Francis Drake) and witness of decisive naval battles.

    The family room is very nice, apart from the carpeted floor. We really appreciated the balcony and the two bathrooms and the air conditioning. The swimming options are great – there's a beautiful and easy accessible bathing bay right next to the hotel, and the outside pool and indoor pool are perfect for small children. The restaurant is very cozy with good menu options and excellent, friendly servers. The location is great – it's about a 15-minute walk to the city center of Angra.

    Henry was a fantastic and welcoming host, even prior to our arrival he provided lots of recommendations. He is clearly passionate about hosting and genuinely cares for his guests. He even lent us his binoculars to use. The views from the property were outstanding and the place was so peaceful. We were able to sign up to a week’s membership at the gym in a nearby hotel too. Should we ever return we will without a doubt stay here again!

    I loved the location of the house. It's just 10 minutes driving distance from Angra do Heroísmo. The supermarket is just 5 minutes driving distance, and there are several beaches nearby (you need the car to get there though). I liked the house itself as well, the size is perfect for a solo traveler or for a couple. The kitchen is well equipped and the host lent me a hand blender and some tupperwares, which was nice.
