Absolutely loved my stay at Quinta de Barbêdo. Wish I could have stayed longer. They have such great attention to detail and are amazing hosts. The room was comfortable, peaceful, and well appointed. At breakfast, there were many options including home made jam. They even accommodated my gluten free diet.

The location is so convenient to all that the Peneda-Geres National park has to offer….excellent hiking and panoramas, and beautiful scenic drives. The view from the hotel is gorgeous as it looks into the Cavado River. The staff was professional, efficient, super kind and helpful from the moment we checked in. Joao, the desk, provide so much helpful information about the park upon check-in. Diana in the dining room was a delight! Even with a packed house for dinner she kept her happy attitude and performed her job well. The spa facility at the hotel offered Turkish bath, sauna, cold shower, and jacuzzi, we enjoyed all and found them them to be clean and functioning properly. Delightful! My wife and I also took advantage of the massage services and were pleased with the massages we received from Mariana. We could not have been more pleased and satisfied with the property, the staff, the room, and the spa. Will DEFINITELY return to Hotel Sao Bento..Thank you to the staff for a job well done!

The hotel is a family run and it has an old fashion and homey feel. The owner and the stuff are very kind and accommodating! The facilities are clean and well maintained. It's also very peaceful and quiet. Highly highly recommend the restaurant! The meals are delicious and prepared with love and have a home cooked taste. Will be back for sure!

    Our stay in Quinta de Bârbedo was marvelous! The staff was superb, always available to attend us and give us the best experience! The hotel has good facilities and a good location for those who want to go to Gerês. But the greatest aspect is the food! The food is wonderful! It's typical Portuguese food, but with the taste of mom/grandma food 🤤 Even the sandwichs from the snack bar service are great! Great quality and not expensive! We totally recommend Quinta de Bârbedo! And we hope to go again someday...

    It was our first time out with our 8 months baby and we had a memorable stay at Pousada Caniçada-Gerês. Staff went above and beyond, from reception to cleaner. We felt at home away from home. Fireplace room is really cosy and has a stunning view of Cavado River. Thanks a million to Amanda, Ana Maria, Lilliana and cleaner (sorry can't remember the name).

    Very nice hotel, small and very home-cozy,big bathroom and air conditioner with a nice terrace. Very hospitable hostess and people who work there. Also was included breakfast with cofee and orange jiuce.
