It's a city, the parts I saw where not very different than a general city. Coimbra was really a very beautiful, green and architectural city. Castelo Branco has grown over the last couple of years, would have loved to explore for another day or two. That being said, the city center has been nicely upgraded with the large square between the former barracks and the Defesa area. Pity that the former swimming pool just under the Castelo has fallen into decay to be substituted by a new swimming pool in the direction of the industrial area, which I hear is a popular venue.Guest review byejoon58Netherlands - 2.0

It was very noisy caused by other guests the radio was constantly on in the bedroom even though you could not switch it off I had to go down to reception and get them to turn it off from their office also I only noticed after I left and got to my next hotel that pot of face cream I use which was a brand-new pot and hardly used and still full was empty obviously they had stolen the contents and replaced it with something else which didn’t smell nothing like what was in the pot of cream before I am absolutely disgusted If I’d known they were going to steal from me like that I certainly would have not left the money as a tip on the side and also I would most definitely lock my stuff up everything other than that the food was delicious and the staff were excellent even understanding my EnglishGuest review byMrs HelenUnited Kingdom
