Set in front of the Atlantic Ocean, the luxurious 5-star Intercontinental Cascais-Estoril features an outdoor swimming pool, indoor pool and a fitness centre. It’s amazing from the minute we got to the door . The door man was brilliant and the staff at the front desk could not be any better can’t wait to go back what a hotel
The 5-star Palácio Estoril offers opulent interiors set in lush gardens with a golf course. everything. the place, the people are simply amazing. i can't recommend it enough.
Estoril Luxury Budget & Spa features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a fitness centre and shared lounge in Estoril.
Set amid terraced gardens, this beautifully restored mansion offers an outdoor pool with sun deck and free underground parking. Estoril’s Tamariz Beach is just 800 metres away. We have been going there for many years. It has always been excellent. It is a beautiful, cosy and very clean hotel.
Just a 1-minute walk from Estoril’s casino and a 2-minute walk from the Estoril Congress Centre, Hotel Alvorada offers free parking subject to availability and spaciously laid-out rooms with modern... I liked everything about the hotel. Location, Staff, room, balcony, view😎
Located on a hilltop in Costa do Estoril, the beachfront Hotel Estoril Eden offers 2 pools, a hot tub and sauna. The spacious rooms open onto balconies and are equipped with an LCD TV and free Wi-Fi. We returned to this hotel for the 2nd time because we loved it the first time. We love the great location of the hotel with its spacious rooms, beautiful sea view from the balcony’s which we enjoyed eating our evening meals on after putting our two year old to bed. The kitchenette comes in very handy too. Breakfast buffet nice and plenty of choice. Room service good varied menu. All staff friendly throughout the hotel. We didn’t use the pool this time as we were always at the beach. Overall a great stay at the Eden.

It is so easy to get to Estoril from Lisbon airport, the shuttle bus to the train station is 3 euro per person each way and takes about 30 mins depending on traffic and the the scenic train journey along the coast to Estoril takes about 25 mins and costs 4.20 euro per person each way. There are so many lovely restaurants around Estoril and Cascais Marina, just be aware that some of the Marina restaurants only take local credit and debit cards so we had to get cash from an ATM near by. Sintra is a lovely area to visit with stunning views and lots of historical buildings, about 30 mins by direct bus or 1 hour by the scenic bus route, we would suggest trying both routes one there and the opposite on the way back. The promenade runs for about 3k and is a lovely walk past sandy beaches and sea water swimming pools with cafe bars and restaurants.
Estoril is conveniently located on the coast south Lisbon and the train service to and from Lisbon is excellent. It is also only two railway stops away from the excellent resort of Cascais. It is a quiet residential area and a disadvantage of this is that it does not have much to offer in terms of restaurants or bars. However, the beach is excellent and there are a few restaurants beside it.
Estoril has been the most fashionable resort for the aristocracy and those in the know in Europe for over 100 years. It is a beautiful spot with beaches and bars, massive choice of restaurants, a short walk in to Cascais, 20 minutes to gameshow and to the centrals 20 minutes to Guincho and to the Sintra hills and a short train ride into Lisbon. No better place to stay for a break in the Lisbon area.
Traditional beach destination for ages Lots of one way streets added, driving your gps crazy not a top restaurant destination A bit a place of the past, few modern facilities, somewhat boring, for older people No special activities
I expected Estoril itself to have more going on than it did but Cascais, which was much busier, was just a walk away so it didn’t dampen any enjoyment of the holiday. It was also good to have quite a few small beaches nearby, none of which were ever too busy!
Nice resort. Beautiful beach serviced by lifeguards. Limited amount of bars and restraunts but Cascais is nearby with a lot more choice. Estoril is spotless clean we saw little or no litter in the whole week we stayed there. Excellent train service goes from Lisbon to Cascais via Estoril. Weekly ticket cost €12 for unlimited use.

The place is very clean and nice. I liked the decor. There was no air con in the room but there was a fan. Breakfast was nice enough with a simple selection of cheese, ham and jam. Also kitchen was very well equipped. Location is good - 5 min walk from Sao Joao do Estoril train station, 6 min walk from a Minipreco supermarket, 5 min walk from the closest beach and the promenade that leads to Cascais. Staff was very nice and helpful. If you want to rest in a nice and quiet place outside of city noise it could be a good choice.

Tip: When travelling in the low season you get an upgrade - if available. We had a super luxurious suite with two balconies, overlooking the sea. Coffee and tea facilities in our room (rare in Portugal). Good breakfast. Free parking spaces in front of hotel. It is difficult to find parking spaces without coins so we did not move our car during our stay. 😉 Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast hostess!

The location was excellent and within walking distance of the beach and Cascais. The nearby bakery, mini market and restaurants meant it was easy with young kids. The accommodation has all the necessary amenities although the style of furniture and decoration will not be to everyone’s taste it is clearly shown in the pictures and was clean and functional. Our host was punctual and helpful.
