Everything truly exceeded our expectations, especially the staff, location and breakfast. The staff were always friendly and helpful and willing to help the entire stay more comfortable, efficient and convenient. The location of the hotel is a 7 minute walk to a beautiful beach. The rooms were extremely clean and the daily cleaning staff were friendly and kept everything very clean and tidy. Fresh pastries, fruit, omelettes, eggs etc were made to your liking...a great way to start each day. Joao at the front desk made us reservations pretty much every night and each night the restaurant was delicious. Ana took care of us every morning and it was great to speak with her each day as she was so personable. We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends and hopefully stay here again.

The condo and the complex were very nice, spacious, and the grounds were serene. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms had plenty of hot water. You could walk to the cliff-walk! The owner was very nice and provided a great little guide to the area. The kitchen was well equipped. All in all a pleasant- stay. Good for sharing with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths.

    We have been to a number of places in the Algarve and love them all but Ferragudo and Casa Rio Vista trumps the lot. Beautiful apartment, warm welcome from our host Marco and friendly people in some excellent restaurants. Not to forget beautiful beaches. What more could we ask for? Hope to return again soon.     Wonderful and relaxing place to visit, but a car is a requirement! Will definitely return to Ferragudo! The Benagil grotto and dolphin boat tour is a must! Visit: Sagres, Selema, Burgau, Tavira, Monchique. A delightful server at Algar Seco made several culture and dining recommendations, including O Charneco - definitely dine here, but an Uber might work better if you are going to drink or the narrow roads make you nervous!

    Ferragudo is a little gem of a traditional fishing town. Backstreets with family run cafes, restaurants, bars but nothing too over crowded. The town square is the central hub day and night but quieter off street restaurants also available so best of both. The beach is wide, clean and interesting to watch the fishing boats coming and going.

    Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave. It has 2 lovely beaches, the Praia Grande has a handful of bars and restaurants and sun loungers for hire but does not feel particularly crowded, its a great sandy beach for kids with safe, swimming water and pedalos for hire. The town has some lovely restaurants and is very pretty and typically Portuguese with winding streets and colourful houses. I would suggest its not ideal for parents with small children as there are a lot of steps which could be a challenge with a buggy.

    Ferragudo has retained its charm as a fishing village, despite being a popular destination for tourists. Views accross the bay are beautiful. There are several good restaurants to choose from, including the quayside fish -grilling ones, in addition to the option of dining in at Vitor's Village. There is a large and popular beach close to Ferragudo, (Praia Grande) in addition to smaller cove beaches a little further afield. There's a cliff walk of about 7Km along to the (larger) village of Carvoiero, which takes around 3 hours and involves some "scrambling" ; like a lot of the local coastal walks it's good to do "one way" and arrange a lift back!

    It was a good location - an easy walk to the beach and town centre where all the restaurants were located. There was free parking nearby on the street and in a parking lot across the street so we always had a place to park. Also, the reception staff were super friendly and helped us with tips about local places to visit. Ferragudo is also a very good location for visiting other places in the Algarve as it is right in the centre of the region - just over an hour to Sagres on the West coast, and Tavira on the East side.

    Everything was very new and spotlessly clean. The apartment was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful extras like an iron and had a fully equipped kitchen with a small sunny terrace and a super comfortable bed. On top a bottle of wine. The hosts were incredibly kind and it’s right in the heart of Ferragudo. I will definetly come back again. Thanks Miriam & Filipe.
