We loved the house, it was perfect for our group of 9. The layout; there was plenty of space for being social together but also if you wanted your own space. The location; it was the perfect distance from all the POI on the island, but still tucked away in a quiet street.

Everything! The staff is so nice! The beds feel like heaven. The decoration from the hotel is simple but beautiful. We had dinner at the restaurant Mômô and ir was delicious. Our 9 month old son was very welcome and treated very kind by all.

Diana, as a Host was extremely efficient, accommodating and kind hearted Host. She was very easy to communicate with and was prompt in replying. Her directions to the location were amazing and she walked me through the cabin and and the grounds to make sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. She even left a lovely gift basket of local treats which was very thoughtful and showed how proud she is of her home country and wants to share that with her guests. Very, very special. The cabin location was amazing with a great view of the village and the ocean with a lovely outdoor covered veranda to sit and eat and take in the view. The kitchen was efficient and well stocked with all you needed to have morning tea or coffee and to cook and make a meal. It was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. At night you could sit out, even in the rain and watch the sunset and in the morning have coffee and watch the sunrise. The Village has some great sights to take in as well as being a great location to drive to other areas with lots of great scenery along the way. The people in the Village are so lovely and social and make you feel like you are part of the community. There are a few local cats and they were the gentlest and sweetest and would come by for visits which was quite nice during the evenings. I highly recommend it for single travelers, couples, and or families.

The place is fantastic! Close to important sightseeings away from the city chaos and cars. Ideal also for the period of bad weather that you can enjoy the comfortability of staying inside. Monique and her little meow friend Vida were great host friends! We found the peace and relaxing time, just like what we were looking for. All the best for Vila Vàrzea!

We loved our stay at Villa Anna. The view was dreamlike. There are so many beautiful design touches to the space that make it feel comfortable and luxurious. We were well taken care of by our hosts and would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect place! Black cabins are furnitured all stuff such as cutleries, dishes etc. And magazines about The Azores with tips, trails, attractions. Also There was usefull new jacuzzi, we used it after trails and it was simple and didn't matter which weather was there around.

Lots of space in the room and very clean. Loved the guide book instructions for relevant things in the area and tips. I elected to get breakfast delivered to my door. It was very good and delivered in a cute basket. Wifi worked perfect! Enjoyed the cows passing by the hotel in the morning too.

    BLACK MOULD AND DAMP IN PROPERTY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    BLACK MOULD AND DAMP IN PROPERTY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. As soon as you walk into the property, there is a VERY strong smell of damp/mould. It meant I couldn't sleep properly for the 2 nights we were there and I actually had breathing problems for days afterwards. There was a huge dehumidifier in the kitchen and it had also recently been re-painted so the owners know of this issue and still are accepting paying customers, which is terrible as it's a health hazard! We let the reception know and what they offered as an alternative accommodation was not relative. Also we only had 3 days on the island so didn't have time to be researching alternative places to stay. It was the morning so we'd opened all the doors to get rid of the smell. At night when all doors and windows were closed, the smell was unbearable and we felt trapped and unsafe. I would NOT recommend staying in this property at all. Anything positive about the property is negated by the black mould and smell of the property.
