We stayed here when our original hotel had to close at short notice. It was built and is still run by a local family who spent some years working in Switzerland (hence the name). It is a small, modern hotel, with a pool, a bar and a restaurant full of Spanish visitors. Clearly a place people return to.

Staff, room and food were all excellent. The only question was value for money considering where it is, but I would definitely return.

Stylish, comfortable hotel located towards the top of a valley with good views. Situated within walking distance of a small town approximately 1.5 miles or 3km each way. The underground car park with lift access was convenient.The restaurant staff were all exceptional. They were also very observant in seating couples at the opposite end if the restaurant to loud families with children. Much appreciated. Thank you. Wine recommendations were also good.

The apartment is reasonably well furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. It has a beautiful mountain view. Definitely value for money. We arrived pretty late and on arrival our allocated apartment was taken by other visitors arrived earlier by mistake. They asked to swap their apartment upstairs with us. As they had already well settled in the apartment supposed to be ours, we agreed. It seems our originally apartment is not as good as the one we actually stayed. God's plan. The apartment is centrally located and parking is available on the street. Manteigas is a lovely town but as we only stayed one night we didn't have the opportunity to see more of it.
