Hotel Passagem do Sol is located in Moura, on the left bank of Guadiana River. This typical Alentejo hotel has a traditional décor and comfortable rooms with free WiFi access. Excellent. Very clean. Rooms are new and wifi works great in rooms. Regular breakfast. Wonderful quality/price ratio. At 5 min walk from dowtown Moura . Friendly personnel.
Combining traditional architecture with contemporary design, this rural hotel is 2.5 km from Moura. Horta de Torrejais is a refurbished typical Alentejo house with modern comforts and an outdoor pool.... This place is like paradise, beautiful garden, very quiet, big swimming pool, nice places in the shadow, very friendly people
Located in the Alentejo town of Moura, Hospedaria A Italiana offers rooms with free WiFi, just a 10-minute walk from the Moura Castle and 12 km from the Alqueva Lake. Super nice owner who was there to help with my bike storage for the night. Bathroom and room were super clean, central location with supermarkets nearby. I recommend staying there.
Located in a 19th-century estate, this 1600-hectare property offers a covered porch with Alentejo landscape views, a private hunting area, and rooms furnished with antiques. Excellent place. Great people, great food, great service, super clean, super nice.
a wonderful well maintained romantic hotel.....staff is absolutely friendly and helpful...we had room 101 with beautiful antique furniture, sparkling clean.....with a view of the park from the balcony....absolutely wonderful. The bar downstairs is old fashioned beautiful and relaxing, drinks are very reasonably priced. Parking in the back yard/garden is free. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are several local places within walking distance with good local meals We highly recommend this hotel.....we certainly enjoyed it very much.
Lovely town with a Castle, plenty bars and an amazing outdoor swimming baths with large children's pool and very large adult pool. People could spend all day there especially with children as food and drinks were available.Within a short distance of Moura is a large lake with an enourmous dam, plenty bout trips and lots of water activities including banana rides.
A very pleasant city where everyone seems so friendly and pleased to greet visitors, it really does have a lovely feeling about it. It's also a great base for exploring the surrounding area, so many small towns and villages to explore, being so close to the Spanish border, lots of them go back many centuries and have a castle.
Lovely town, pretty streets lined with plants. Nice restaurants that we visited. Only downside was, we visited over Carnaval week so not everything was open, limited restaurant choice, and very few shops open, also Moura castle closed on the day we wanted to visit due to a staff party the night before!! Good location for driving around local area. We visited Alqueva dam and smaller towns and villages in the area.
Whilst it is small, Moura is still beautiful and perfect for a short stay. We didn't have time but it would have been interesting to see the castle. Dinner and drinks in the small streets was atmospheric and cheap.
Moura is an out of the way spot in the Alentejo that is not at all touristy and has a distinct flavour of the 'real' Portugal. The town is small and walkable for all you will want to see. The restaurants all serve traditional Alentejo food in large servings and at very affordable prices. Local wine is available in both red (tinto) and white (branco) and is of excellent quality. There is a Cooperative Olive Oil processing plant right in the town where you can buy their standard extra virgin and organic extra virgin olive oils and several shops in the town centre sell local wines, honey and pastry specialties. It is a great place to stop for a night or two if you are travelling between Seville and Lisbon.
