When saw this listing of a Castle like country home for the price under $100 I couldnot believe it so i decided to check it out, only problem was to get there within check in times till 10pm, so called and reached Paula to ask if i can reach around midnight due to severe weather and she said it was ok, Located on top of a hill like Heavenly Castle in Pacos de Ferreira near Porto, Portugal, when we arrived after midnight were greeted by kind Mr Carlos and showed my Royal Room. Next day with nice Portuguese Breakfast waiting we had time to befriend Paula and were served breakfast with a Smile and Royal service that we had not expreienced anywhere on our 8 days EuRoadTrip thru 6 countries. Highly recommend this country home in serene setting

    When i saw this listing of Castle like Country house and...

    When i saw this listing of Castle like Country house and underpriced , i decided to check it out only problem was to get there within chk in time of 10pm due to severe weather i would arrive around midnight, so called to ask and Paula said ok, so when i arrived this castle on top of the hill we were greeted by kind Mr Carlos and showed us to our Royal Room. Next day at Nice breakfast we got chance to befriend Paula and got royal service with a Smile. Property is a hidden gem with 2 Angels Paula and Carlos to help you stay confortably at their country house and i wish i could stay longer. This property is located on a hill in old historic town in a very serene setting. would definately visit again..

    People travel to Paços de Ferreira to buy furniture. Presently, there is a significant number of furniture stores that have gone out of business. One can find a good variety of white lacquer and wood (they call it rustic) furniture. Some outlets sell beautiful inlaid wood furniture that rivals Italian manufacture in quality. Prices vary logically with quality. Most stores will manufacture to measure and are willing to modify designs and the types of woods used to match the buyers tastes. Expect completion of special orders in a couple of months. They will ship all over the world.

    This was such a lovely property in the country near Paços de Ferreira. The hostess, Paula, was wonderful and accomodating. She personally greeted us and showed us to our room. She also recommended a great local restaurant for us to have dinner. Our room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We enjoyed hearing from Paula about the history of the property and her family. For the price we paid, the stay was an incredible value. We would definitely highly recommend this property.

    The owner of the place is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. She was available to do all she could to help out with transport, the room, breakfast etc. The room was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. The breakfast was complimentary, and delicious! The hotel is in a very beautiful, rural part of Portugal and made for quite the lovely walk around sunset. The outdoor patio is a great place to meet other patrons, and overall I had a wonderful time here.

    The old hotel was an idyllic stay with history. The host was very hospitable, making sure that we were as comfortable as possible, and advising on a great place to eat when we arrived at night. The place is close to the airport so great for departure next day.
