Situated in a complex overlooking the sea and Portimão marina, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from Praia de Rocha.

I had no expectations but was incredibly surprised by resort as a whole. Location, staff and food exceptional. Thank you so very much. I especially liked the environmental steps to help me play a part.

    Completely renovated and located on the cliffs of Praia do Vau beach, the Turim Presidente Hotel has 178 rooms with large balconies for relaxing. Most of the rooms have a sea view.

    We were 601 so the balcony and view was exceptional

Lively Gateway to Western Algarve

The 2nd-largest city in the Portugal region of Algarve after Faro, Portimão is best known for its beach resorts, sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and ochre cliffs. It offers a variety of shopping malls, restaurants, discos and bars. Don’t miss the fresh grilled sardines, a typical local dish.

This city combines the sparkling atmosphere of a big city with a compact size and easy access to the countryside. Alvor has the feeling of a small fishing village, while Praia da Rocha beach is a lively centre full of restaurants, cafés and nightlife.

    Portimao / Praia do Rocha is a lovely place. Beautiful scenery, wonderful food, lovely beach, people are very welcoming and helpful. The overall impression we got is of cleanliness, care for everything and for vistors. \We would always be very happy to come back for further visits.

    Portimao is a great place to visit with friends. The people are extremely nice and welcoming. The food is absolutely amazing, I recommend Dona Vita in old-town Portimao! For food/drinks, Praia da Rocha (boardwalk) is full of nice bars/restaurants/cafes with all types of foods you could want. It was very easy and cheap to travel with an Uber. We also liked going to the Aqua shopping center. Make sure to visit some traditional Portuguese restaurants!

    Portimao is a really exciting place, it has a great range of top restaurants, nice bars and good local shops and boutiques. The people are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You can walk around at your leisure and stop off at different places as you go around

    Excellent town that had everything from marina to beach to...

    Excellent town that had everything from marina to beach to shopping. Wasn’t get around and close to all the sites to visit. Loved our stay there. Was our base for 5 days. Beach was amazing with the rock formations. Marina was where we took our boat tour. Highly recommend it. Close to neighbouring communities to see the sights.

    This is a great area to visit, wonderful beach and excellent restaurants to choose from. You get what you pay for. Avoid hotels like Hotel Avenida Praia across from the clubs. They are extremely noisy until 4:00 in the morning.

    Very friendly town.

    Very friendly town. It's got plenty of options for all sorts of tastes. From fine dining to just a casual dinner. One can walk pretty much everywhere. From beach to city center it's about 30min walk. Lots of options to buy from a supermarket if you're on a budget. For someone who is looking for nightlife just grab an Uber and hop to Alvor which is about 5km away. And of course, the beaches are all around amazing. Lots of beach area to visit and with good restaurants.

    This accomodation was excellent for my needs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly. Although I did not took breakfast they offer breakfast and there is a kitchen that can be used by the people who have a reservation. The location is excellent it's near the beach and city centre also 15 minute walk to the shuttle bus service to Motogp at Aurodromo Internaciol do Algarve. This must be one if the best price/quality value accomodation in Portimão.

    The best thing were hotel staff, they were very friendly. the meal wee nicely created and with a variety on the menu. We had a great room with a nice view to the river front. The breakfast was delicious and with a large amount of options for all tastes. I like the minibus to the beach but it needs to go a bit earlier and come back later. the times were limited as would would have prefer less buses during the day but available longer.

    Have stayed at Hotel Da Rocha many times. It is a fantastic Hotel with a perfect Location a few metres from the beach. The Side Sea View Room was brilliant and spotlessly clean and a huge luxurious Bed. The Breakfast is amazing with a huge variety of food to choose from. All The Staff are very welcoming and friendly. All in all a great Hotel. We will be returning.

    I only stayed one night and booked in late evening. Had a tasty tuna hamburger from near by restaurant. Host recommened me a local festival near by. Bed was comfy and check-out and check-in were seamless. I got the most authentic Portugal experience in Portimao from all the places I visited in the Algarve.
