Portimao was a pleasant town to stay in.
Portimao was a pleasant town to stay in. It's biggest draw is the beach, shopping/restaurants and doing a trip to the Benagil Caves. There is a cute little "train" ride that you can take as well. I feel like there could be a lot more that could be done promotion wise. Maybe some sight seeing tour booths along the main avenue. We came into town by train and used Bolt to get around. Easy to use!

There is a lovely boardwalk with a fabulous beach . There are lots of places to eat along the way. Not suitable for someone with a disability as there are lots of steps to navigate to get down to the beach . I ate in a different restaurant every night. The food was good and not too dear. There are lots of little shops to peruse and people are very friendly. I would reiterate that the steps down to beach are not suitablle for someone with mobility issues

The location for the race circuit was perfect.
The location for the race circuit was perfect. Nice neighborhood and fairly quiet. Be careful of stray dogs or dogs in other properties if walking around. Security of the gates is good, however the windows (most) don't lock. The kitchen utensils are basic and the kitchen itself. The shower heads are loose and hard to control. Lighting outside wasn't working and bbq was basic. There is a bus stop at the end of the road about 200 mtrs.

The beach was great and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. There is a bus from the beach area to the central square but then you have to walk a short way to the train station. Having a train from the beach to the train station would be excellent.
We've been in Portugal for 10 nights in 4 places (Lisbon, west coast, south and back near Lisbon). This was by far the best place we stayed at. It was an apartment on 2 levels, spacious, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom at the second level and the living room with the kitchen and a service bath at the first one. Very comfortable, for a great price, 5-10 minutes from the beach and the owners were very nice and warm.
We had included a parking place in the interior parking of the building.
We had a late deal at a really good price so value for money it was a 10 out of 10. The hotel was spotlessly with really comfortable rooms with plenty of space.
The bar was open till 12 which we found great for a night cap after strolling back from a meal just down the road. The location is amazing with some of the best view points and beaches just outside of the hotel and only a short walk from the bars and restaurants.
All the staff we meet were very accommodating and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is perfect, very close to the Praia do Vau. The room was spacious and clean. The cleaning ladies came almost daily and it was so nice to come to a fresh and clean space after the beach! The breakfast was good, we usually enjoyed it outside, near the pool. I recommend staying here if you come to Algarve :)
Very good value for money. In the best location for the beach and main resort.
We only had breakfast at the hotel which we found exceptionally good and plenty of choice.
The staff were always happy and friendly.
