The location is amazing. The room was perfect! staff very professional. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty. The only regret was that we didn't stay enough! Highly recomended and for sure will be back!

Man where do I start? I mean it should be what did I love! I arrived with pretty much the clothes on my back and thanks to amazing people I'm walking out with all name brand stuff and I'm humbly saying this I'm humble, good people do exist you just need to be equal and show love. Anc Resort I will never forget you.

It is on the beach and the marina. You can go to the beach and book a boat trip/tour or ferry to the islet in the same day. The rooms are large for Europe, more the size of the rooms you find in the United States. The bed linens are nice and soft!

This brand-new boutique hotel on São Miguel is part of the incredible new adventures of the fabulous host, Pete, who has created a true paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were cradled in comfort, enveloped by breathtaking views and a serene setting that made exploring the island so easy. One of the standout experiences was the gourmet, farm-to-table dinners, prepared with such artistry by the amazing Chef Ludo. Organized by Pete with a small number of people attending from different hotels or accommodations Pete made the experience feel like a wonderful dinner party. The meals were nothing short of spectacular—fresh, flavorful, and bursting with creativity. Along with the fabulous food, Pete took us on a journey through Portugal’s finest wines with his deep knowledge and passion for both the wine and the cuisine of the Azores. Every tasting was a masterclass in flavor, leaving us in awe of the culinary craftsmanship and wine wisdom at Idonea. Beyond the beauty of the location and the food, it was Pete’s gracious, friendly hospitality that made our stay extraordinary. He made us feel like old friends from the moment we arrived, offering expert advice on where to explore on the island and ensuring that we were always comfortable and cared for. The property is well located in the middle of the south part of an island, allowing you to ride either to the west or east coast. It’s close to the highway, but in a good sense - it’s just a few minutes to get to the main road, saves travel time. To add on the location, it’s on the outskirts of a small but nice town where you can walk and taste some local goodies (bolos, queijadas). We personally liked the property for having a separate room and separate bathroom, separate patio to have our meals at - this way you don’t interfere with other guests. Supermarket (Pingo Doce) is really close by. The property’s kitchen is stacked up with any item you possibly need to cook a decent meal. And of course the host was amazing and helpful. Thanks Vânia!

We did not realize we had booked a shared bathroom; however, it worked out well. It was clean and well attended to. It was only shared with one other guest room. Shared kitchen served us well and we had very nice time talking with other guests. The timing of the different guest meal prep worked out naturally well; however, if multiple guests were trying to cook at same time, that would be challenging. LOVELY pool at garden courtyard. Gorgeous setting. Bedroom was basic. Could use some shelf or cabinet space; however, it perfectly met our needs. A lot of outside area to enjoy and there as also an inside living room for relaxing.
