The house was spotless. Lots of brochures on the table upon arrival which will be helpful for people who have more time to explore.The host had a jar of honey for us to enjoy, it was delicious! When we had questions about the area, the host returned with answers very quickly. I use Air bnb often, this was one of the best!!!

Everything about this property was top notch: the furnishings, the beds, the shower, the kitchen. Joao brought us a basket of breakfast every morning that was beautiful and incredible. Very thoughtful attention to details! Plus Joao was so friendly and helpful. He greeted us at the door on our arrival and made suggestions for places we might visit. We did a 10k hike that he recommended and it was really enjoyable. I really can’t say enough about him and about the place (did I mention that it is right next to the castle??)! Highly recommended!!!

The cute little property is in a great location and is easy to find. The rooms are clean and there is a lovely common area for guests. The host gave us a book on the area and helped us find an open restaurant when we arrived late. Breakfast was a nice variety of bread, ham, cheese, fruit, juice and coffee.

The staff answered all questions and went out of the way to fulfill any needs that I had, including travel needs. The breakfast was exceptional and extensive. I extended my visit because of the National Holiday and they provided me with the same kindness and respect with no compromise. They even provided laundry services.

A real gem! These are rustic but very comfortable accommodations. They also provide a fully stocked kitchen for making breakfast and delivered fresh bread first thing in the morning. The guest house is just a few minutes' walk outside the walled village of Sortelha, which also contained a nice restaurant for dinner. Overall, this village stay was a real highlight of our week in northern Portugal!
