Flamingo Beach House is a holiday home located in Santa Luzia and featuring free WiFi and a terrace. The property is 16 mi from Faro and features views of the sea. We stayed 6 nights. Everything is wonderful : house, balconies, views, village, communication with owner and cute restaurants close by. Highly recommend. Nice atmosphere from the coffee shop beside the house. Easy to get to fantastic beach too. 20 min walk from house to beach train.( Fewer boat taxis in off season). I'd love to stay here again. Thanks for a great time :)
Located in Santa Luzia in the Algarve region, Santa Luzia Apartment features a balcony and pool views. Where to start....so many positives. Full explanation of facilities, inc garage and the bikes. Raul & Helga are very friendly...mentioned places to eat. The apartment was home from home. Everything you'd expect to have in your own home. Very clean. Loved the two balconies.. Morning and afternoon sun. Very quiet at night. Good swimming pool Only a 25 minute walk to the lovely beach...very clean Highly recommend
Visited at beginning of Coronavirus problem so not a fair appraisal of facilities. Pretty deserted & very few bars & restaurants open but a good number & variety available in normal times, Santa Luzia itself retains its original authenticity & has not been modernised in a bad way. Would visit again in better times!!
My favorite part of Santa Luzia is the excellent fish restaurants. The staff in all restaurants spoke good English and they were very helpful in recommending good local food and wine (not necessarily the most expensive). Restaurant Vincent was our Favorite mainly due to it being the only restaurant with a good meat selection. Most Santa Luzia restaurants are fish biased which I loved but my wife (who is not a fish lover) found restricting. I'd also recommend Marisqueira Capelo Restaurant for their local wine selection and Prawn Peri Peri. They also did excellent peppered steak. The beach is short boat ride away (2Euro return) and is clean and not too busy but it can can get windy. Choose your spot carefully. There's loads of little private spots away from people and the wind. The sea is cold which I wouldn't recommend to snorkelers unless they have a wet suit. The kids loved it though.
Very good beaches. Try the local cafes for food - they are as good as the restaurants and cheaper, Sabores do Norte where the francesinha is excellent. For sports fans try Snack Bar O Nuno, cheap beer and excellent breaded octopus. As the area is flat bikes are a good way of getting about. Tavira is a nice town which is less than three miles away
A quiet fishing village but with lots of bars, cafes & restaurants. The "octopus" capital of Portugal, but plenty of variety on menus if that's not to your taste. Ferry to the main beach finishes on 1st October but access still available by footbridge & tourist train just over 1km away. Town of Tavira (2-3km) with regular bus service. Not many young visitors, especially after ferry stops running.
I lived in Tavira for a few years and love Santa Luzia. The apartment was modern and very clean. The sofa bed was comfortable and the property close to the waterfront and central to many activities. There are some great restaurants in Santa Luzia. We took my grandson and his friend on the little train to the beach which they loved. The beaches are wonderful.......clean yellow sand. Tavern town is only three km from the apartment and is very picturesque. I would highly recommend Santa Luzia and this apartment to either couples or families.
a lovely quiet and relaxing seaside village, great wee cafés and resturants just nice to sit and watch the fishermen mending their nets then heading off on the boats fish and local dishes are excellent as is the freshly baked bread and pasteries
