One of the best places I stayed, everything is new and clean, best orange juice I ever tried from they own garden, best service in a restaurant, very nice room with a huge bed. Outstanding value for money, private motorcycle parking, will be happy to return again

Upon arriving from a morning flight, we were delighted to have a room available. Our room was clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Both hot and cold selections. Staff were welcoming and we were greeted everywhere with smiles! Parking on site and the location was perfect. Close to town and highways.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel very much. The location is excellent: a quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the city center. The staff was just amazing, so friendly and helpful: both even before our trip started (promptly helping us to deal with our flight cancellation), and also during our stay. The breakfast was very nice, and the dinner meals were just super! Having live relaxing piano music at breakfast was also very nice! We also enjoyed using the gym and the sauna. We were there in late October, so the average age of the visitors was about 70, though there were quite a few young couples as well. We also used their transfer from the airport service, which worked very well, despite a very long delay in our flight

It was such a unique experience….not like being in a hotel. The grounds are very well maintained, and it was fun being out of the city. The breakfast , which was included , was exceptional… so many options to choose from.

    Tavira is quite a small town, we stayed for 4 nights so it gave us 3 and a half days. At the time we went, there was a festival on which had 7 stages around the town with music and lots of craft stalls which was a bonus and gave us quite a bit more to do. If you just like to relax and soak up the sun then you need to get the boat to Tavira Island (2.60 € return), evenings I guess when the festival isn't on will be rather quiet.

    The access the majority of the local beaches is via ferry or boat taxi. There is a beach about 20 minutes away you can drive to and park but it can get extremely busy. I think our preference is to be able to access the beach without having to take a ferry or water taxi. Having said that, the beaches are very clean and water is beautiful. The umbrellas and sun chairs are pretty pricey.

    Pretty town to the east of the Algarve, not as busy as some of the other towns further west. Tavira has a lot of history including one of the oldest olive trees in the region. Tavira is located on the banks of the river Gilao on the Ria (the lagoon). The Atlantic beaches (Praia de Tavira) are a15 minute ferry rode away and the suburb of Cabanas, another lovely place to spend an evening is a 10 min cab / car ride away. the twin cities Faro/Olhao and a half hour drive away and you can take a boat cruise on the Ria Formosa from there. Tavira has some really great restaurants - both local and fusion. Coisa Linda and O Tonel are very good.

    Lovely place for a 5 day couples' relaxing break - tourists but never felt busy - loads of lovely food options. Beautiful buildings/architecture and so many gorgeous colours. Beach was a short ferry ride away which was fine with us - we preferred the relaxed quieter vibe as opposed to the busy tourist resort towns. Was a 40 minute train away from Faro - very easy to get to. Even had live music in the square most evenings!

    I love Tavira, it is a respectful tourist town that is not catering for the drunk, lay on the beach all day and tacky souvenir shops type of person, it has class and interesting things to see and do like the castle and cathedral. If you want to lay on the beach all day there are regular ferry boats that take you to the island where you can do this away from the town. Of the places I have seen in Portugal, Tavira is my favourite.

    The mosaic stone pavements are quite uneven and can be quite slippery. Not suitable for stilettos!!! Small town with a castle (lots of steps) and lots of churches. Great for walking by the riverside. Lovely beaches a ferry ride away on the island. Plenty of tents or umbrellas and loungers yo hire. Saw flamingoes by the salt pans and marshes . Sit on top deck of ferry for best views. Great restaurants with fabulous fish, clams, octopus etc at very reasonable prices.Taxis are not expensive. Definitely worthwhile if it's very hot or you have hills to climb or heavy shopping to carry. Concerts held regularly just beside the old Roman bridge during the summer. Great place for 4 or 5 days if you want to spend plenty of time at your hotel pool and or beaches. We are really well at Ponto de Encontro, and at Zeca da Bica.

    close to town and hotel facilities perfect for what we wanted as a chill at the end of the year which we were able to do by the pool as weather was great. breakfast selection good too although the coffee was dreadful - had to pay for an espresso or cappuccino which wasn’t great, most hotels we have stayed in Portugal which are many this was the first time, disappointing so we went out for coffee after breakfast and paid 70cents a cup!

    We visited Portugal for 35 days and drove around the country. This was the best accommodation of our trip. Nuno left fruit, water, fruit juice, and many other items for us (what a surprise). No one else came close to him. He is special if you want to visit Tavira and the surrounding areas. We stayed for three nights. This was the largest apartment we stayed in, with two bedrooms.

    Our experience was fantastic! We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were given a thorough tour of the facilities. We particularly enjoyed the common area and the kitchen. Although the weather was too chilly to use the pool, it was still very relaxing to be there. We had a great time grilling by the pool. This was the best place we stayed during our trip to Spain and Portugal.

    Perfect hotel for a short stay in Tavira; just minutes away from all the life in town as well as to the ferry to Tavira beach. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the price very competitive. Would definitely stay again on a next short trip to Tavira.
