The hostel is on the top of the hill, right beside the church. Just outside is a view of the ocean, the city and the hills and trees of the valley—I was in awe. The sunset and rise I had there was the highlight of my trip.

Receptionists especially Carmelo amazingly helpful. Great location near river to swim plus waterfront plus old town. A large building very clean and great breakfast. My favorite place in Portugal so far. Close to a great restaurant

Very close to the Camino, and the place is very clean, with comfortable bed and pillows. The host is also very responsive and nice. Close to supermarkets and restaurants. Please eat at CASA PRIMAVERA, it’s the best!!

Amazing accommodations for groups or one knight traveler. Great staff, nice and warm, community-like atmosphere, all ages and genders. I wish all other places met the standards of this location in every way. Completely exceeded my expectations. A refreshing recovered water tank, almost like a mini pool, is constantly filled with cold water from the creek. Amazing for soaking your legs after a day of walking. The decoration and layout are spotless, with plenty of separate indoor and outdoor shared spaces to relax. The bed sheets were so fresh and spotless, and the entire space was incredibly clean and comfortable. They will provide you with a towel, and you will not lack hot water for a shower. I stayed there alone after a 33 km hike (Camino Santiago) and was warmly welcomed with everything I needed. They also advised me on the next steps of my journey with alternative routes and timings. There are a few nearby places to grab a bite: a snack bar, a restaurant, and a bakery, all within walking distance. Advised to book in advance. It was already full when I arrived there. If I did not have a reservation, there were not a lot of similar options after that stop (That I know of).

Great spot on the Camino. Boutique albergue, 4 beds and 2 bathrooms and 2 showers makes this a very comfortable stay. Host is gracious and the home is beautiful. Don’t think twice about booking this treat of a spot on the Camino!
