Everything was perfect! The Turkish (steam) bath and sauna were amazing (just what we needed after a few days of walking the Camino). The breakfast buffet was amazing (we did not eat dinner). The room was comfortable - they even provide flip flops to wear down to the spa. And we were able to find a pair of shoes for my husband in the shop.

This was a lovely place just down from the beach and right off the Camino. The bed was comfortable. The staff were great. It also has a restaurant so you don’t have to go out. Breakfast was included and there were lots of choices.

    This city has a really wonderful vibe.

    This city has a really wonderful vibe. I am a woman in my 60s and it felt very safe and inviting. I ate tapas at a restaurant on the boardwalk that were delicious. Walking around the main streets was easy and there were many shops to enjoy. Beautiful boardwalks for walking in along the sea.

    Actually a very good point to use as a base for the area. The town is a very pleasant one with many good restaurants so after a day away, it’s just lovely to return. People tend to be very friendly and welcoming. Very good food options

    A lovely town.

    A lovely town. Not huge but really with lots of old streets and a great fernicular up to the view point. Be aware that the underground car park runs the complete length of the main shopping street, from down by the waterfront all the way up to the train station. There are access points all along the Main Street.

    Lots of interesting places to visit around the area.

    Lots of interesting places to visit around the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks staying here. It was difficult to park in town, so we took a taxi. Which was around 5 euros. The places we liked were Varzim, Ponte de Lima, Valenća - Fortaleza. The hotel at night, do some lovely meals. You can sit out on the terrace, overlooking the river.

    We came in mid August for the festival and parade of Romaria...

    We came in mid August for the festival and parade of Romaria d'Agonia and to see the streets with the salt designs. It was amazing. We loved that the city provided bleachers for the parades and chairs for the folk festival.

    A wonderful historical and cultural city with great people and places for walking. This was my first time far north in Portugal, and couldn't believe how much different it was. The mentality, climate, food, welcomeness, art, stylish people, great city organization, and cleanliness made me seriously considering to move here ♥ This place is for culture lovers, who find Porto to be wonderful, but too busy and unmaintained. Transportation is great and there is a wonderful nature connecting Viana, Ponte de Lima, and Ponte de Barca. See you soon my dearest VDC!

    absolute beautiful place to stay right on the camino path excellent breakfast that got us ready for the next 30k !! the host gave us loads of information about the history of the camino and portugal . The pool was lovely and clean and we had a quick dip arfter walking all day and it was great. THEY DO DO EVENING MEALS IF YOU BOOK IN ADVANCE , We had missed this so we went up the road for dinner which wasnt that great judging by the breakfast im sure dinner would just as good

    The host - he has given us the flexibility to occupy one bed each for all 5 of us. Go extra mile to put up the additional bedsheet in the same room when we have stared our preference.
